Finally got my cheap commuter up and running! Only took me 16 years to get all the paperwork and BS sorted out. Just gotta tweak the float valve in the carb so my overflow tube stops leaving a trail of gasoline behind me.

Konig Six Shooter 17x8" wheels came in, 21 lb each. Got the Kenda 35x10.5R17 tires mounted. Easy part is done:

This is NOT full tuck - hydraulic jack topped out with two 2x4s stacked on it before the bumpstop could contact. Will need to find a loading ramp nearby.

Rest of the week will be cutting and hammering to fit the fronts :sawzall:

Great looking wheels and the tires look impressive. The sidewall looks like it will get through anything.

We're in the same weight class. Mine was 4700 lb empty on the Cat Scale. With the rear bumper and heavier tires, it should be around 4900 lb.

I invite you on a scenic drive to Greens trail on a long weekend. Your mission, should you accept it is to make it to the end. :bananadead: Perfect place to test 35s

I'm sure the tires will make it to the end. The rest of the truck tho...

I plan to. I understand regearing comes with its own multi-month lead times and logistic issues as @tacoma16 had demonstrated last year... For now I'll drive around on stock gearing. It's also missing spindle- and cam tab gussetts usually recommended with 35"s.

So we're getting some bonus lock down time. Extended to June 2nd. I'm sure it'll impact some plans.

District 6ix has been locked down since November. Makes no difference to me at this point aside from being unable to sit down in restaurants. I treat the stay-at-home order with the same contempt as speed limits.
