I'm going to have to get something to stop all these rocks from hitting...this is from like 5 trips down dirt roads, there's probably hundreds of small rock marks.

I guess my only options are to add ugly cheap sidesteps, or expensive and heavy rocksliders.

Tires make a huge difference. Mine dont throw stones at all.

I have no chipping or any of what you have, even on the back quarter. I believe I rip way faster, and more than you have on dirt roads.

Mudflaps go a long way on this to. Missing one front since winter and it's starting the difference on how much additional areas get hit. Interestingly, the side with the mudflap, the bed and tailgate status clean to

really? I would have expected knobbier tires to be worse lol.

I was testing different speeds on the one road...whats it called..not songis the other one??

Anyways..going slow you get more rocks hitting, but faster they hit at higher velocity.

OEM madflaps on all 4 corners here...I should almost go aftermarket for more coverage???

In a full day of wheeling, with say at least 35 minutes on Olrig rd. I get maybe 2 rocks I hear that hit either my sliders, or in my wheel wells. I yell out the count, because it never happens.

My Cooper S/T Maxx do not throw stones at all.

You need to come out with me again, and test it out. See for yourself.

Woups, got a little disoriented and assumed no flaps because there were none in the pics. My comparison is only with factory flaps. I would assume a lower hanging flap would help more (draw a tangent from tire to flap and that's what's effectively exposed) but would be more in the way of road.

I'm sure we can line that up sometime this summer. I recently sold my dual sport too, so I am not getting much adventures anymore. (yes I am already shopping for another one)

OEM front flaps on the 3rd gen are shorter by about 3" compared to 2nd gen. That's probably why you're getting stone chips at the rear doors and at the leading edge of the bedsides. You can either get longer flaps or rivet a rubber sheet extension to the OEM flaps. The RokBlokz XL flaps I run are the same length as 2nd gen OEM flaps, and an inch wider toward the outside.

    +1

Yep, same mudflaps as I have and will confirm, they work much better than the stock mudflaps... The extra inch of width makes a big difference.

Not to mention they don't get caught and rip off if your backing over shit like the stock ones will. Toss the OEM ones in the garbage.

Does anyone have any recommendations on places to get powder coating done near Toronto? I’ve been looking at the C4 hybrid front bumper, but they only ship bare steel.

Mr. Shveet - did you end up ordering those Tufskinz mudflaps? I'm back looking at those and would like to know how they size up, if you got them.
