Yep, RP-342, Rust Veto 342... I use CRC's version CRC Marine 76026 just due to cost. It tested well by Project Farm:

No experience with them, but that looks interesting.
I wonder if it would fit over a Softopper?
Post pics/impressions if you do get it.

I used ~5.5 rattle cans last November doing just the frame. If you plan to spray inside the body or have more vehicles, it'll be cheaper to get the bulk can and use a pump sprayer with viton seals.

I don't know it this is an old wives tail, but has any one ever head of spraying used motor oil over everything for rust protection?

My grandfather issues to do that on his farm equipment, motorcycles, etc. Everything always looked new. They didn't have all the shit we have now but it works.

Yea its true, my brother bought an older Dodge RAM. I think its a 1998 or something. The old guy and his son kept all their used motor oil and sprayed everything with it.

His truck still has fenders. Rest of it is starting to fail now.

His new 2021 is being delivered this week

If you plan on off-roading it may wash off. I hold off till after the last run of the year.

Do it after runs with lots of water. Why some sprays are better then others.

for snow runs I’m not overly worried. But water crossings where it just washes off

This is how I run. It never ends

I try and time it so I get it on before they start spraying and salting the roads. As close as possible anyhow.

Well, I bit the proverbial bullet and ended up with a wife I cannot satisfy and 2 ungrateful kids... but yesterday I finally did a good one.
I was curious about the Cervus bed rack systems so I bought one.

They installed it on the spot in 20 minutes and it looks great. If I want to remove it, 4 bolts and it's off. It installs onto the factory bed rail and has a 450lb dynamic and 600lb static weight rating.

The model I got, the TBR-100 is compatible with the OEM Tonneau hard cover!
I'm new to truck accessories such as this so I got no baseline to compare, but if anyone has any questions, ask away!

    Looks good!

You might be aware, but with the Tacomas you should install bed stiffeners to help support the weight of the rack and whatever you put on it. Not mandatory but highly recommended since the sides of the bed is weak.

I'm liking this! Thanks for posting.
I'm waiting for my Softopper to come in, once it does, I might ping you for some measurements to see if it would fit over it.
    Looks great!
