Well, I guess it's time for a new toy... im going to try to go to Partsource and see if their OBD scanner works on the truck, and if it does, I will be looking for a new scan tool... any recommendations for a decent scanner?

most likely old scanner, for quick trail check I use this scanner to pull codes

ANCEL VD700 All System OBD2 Scanner with 8 Special Functions for VAG Vehicles Diagnosis Code Reader Oil TPMS EPB TPS Reset Injector Adaption Steering Angle Learning DPF Scan Tool, Code Readers & Scan Tools - Amazon Canada

For anything more I have techstream

You can buy cheap scanner for $20-50 that only pulls codes, if that's what you need. If you want to change internal truck settings you will need techstream

did you try to giggle the connectors or hold the connector up or down if that makes any sense so the pins are tight when touching each other.
for some reason I wanted to say giddie the connectors.... :)

Do not feel bad about it. We are alive, after all. And being alive is pretty much a constant stream of embarrassment.

Also, another interesting query, does anyone know what this "chrip" or "vocal expression" that happens almost every 14-15 seconds during engine idle is?
Sound seem to come in and around the high pressure fuel pump... seems too rhythmic to be something wrong but this is my first GDI engine... im used to my old quiet 1MZ-FE...

Sounds like you just volunteered to get one. Once owned you will have to go back in time and put these on your bike to match.

    Check build thread!
Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to surefire automotive in Brampton. They were the guys who did my snorkel and did an amazing job for a very good price. Just had a chance to look at the work they did a little closer and they did it extremely well. Very reasonable price too.

I know most of you are DYIers but if you aren’t, these guys would be my go to.

Look on the other side of the bathroom wall,
It's the one written in red ink. beside the chewing gum with hair in it.
