I’m gonna try this when I get home from class in an hour. If it works I owe you a beer (or soda, if you don’t drink)

^If it doesn't work, you can also try disconnecting that hose from the evaporator housing. It looks like the hose is just pushed onto the outlet on the evaporator housing with no clamps. See if you can reach it by feel and push forward to remove. Put a drain pan under it to catch water.

So, @3JOH22A, I ended up taking the whole drain tube off and cleaning it. No change. What I did notice tho is there is definitely water inside of the evaporator housing. As soon as I took the hose off, water came out when I turned the fan on, and like, quite a bit. Which is… normal. I think. I’m so confused on this one. Drain tube isn’t clogged at all, like I can see straight thru it when I took it off and held it straight.

^Does the drippage occur in the footwell when you have the A/C on, or when you go through a rain storm or car wash?

:rofl: They’ve been good to me so far. They fixed my skidplate for just cost of parts (waived labour charge). If they keep being honest and find and fix the issue within reason I’ll have no problem returning.

Yup. Gorgeous in all directions but those skeeters are fucking killer, never seen swarms as large as these before. Heck I never used a bug outfit before but skeeters are the least of your worries up here.

There are these littler bastards called "no-see-ums"
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceratopogonidae
Grain of sand is larger then them and thet bite. Hard.
Will get through traditional skeeter mesh...

no-see-ums are otherwise known as knats or midges,
lol yeah annoying, but you ain't seen nothing yet!
The "good" bug netting will keep those buggers out.
Baking Soda mixed with Witch Hazel,
put the paste on the bites and it will sooth the bites from those things.
    Same for black fly bites...

Being a smoker helps as bugs don't like the smoke, but up there does not do much good.

As you've seen, unprotected areas of skin turn into a bug carpet in seconds.

Oh you have not lived up there until you've been through a black fly season...
It's like god took the most evil traits from skeeters and midges and used that for the black fly design.
And they don't just swarm near wet areas...
You think the skeeter swarms are amazing....Lol wait for the black fly.

I've heard of and seen animals and people go crazy from those things,
    and according to the wiki on the them;

Black flies are a scourge to livestock in Canada, causing weight loss in cattle and sometimes death.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_fly

Lol look at the pic on the Wiki... If you get a bunch of people standing in a circle the cloud will get so thick it becomes tough to see people 10' away.
You won't be able to tell who it is you are talking too.
You will question your sanity in black fly season. Lol

Yep that's where the evaporator coils are...
That area should not be cold enough on the outside to cause a lot of condensation.
Tiny bit is normal if it is a really humid day.
A lot of water coming out of the drain tube on a humid day is normal.

It's possible that your evaporator is freezing up.

That can be cause by lack of air flow (water on the outside of the housing points to that too IF it happens quickly)
If you are low on R134 (or whatever they are using now) it can also cause the evaporator to freeze up.

So if the outside condensate happens fast, look for air flow blockages first. (blocked filter, leaves or a mouse in your air box area) or listen if the flaps are moving when you change from AC to heating.

If it takes over half an hour for the condensate on the outside and your cooling seems weaker or less air flow, look at the amount of refrigerant in your system. (after you confirmed good airflow)

If after you are driving for a while and it sounds like your blower fan is under water, or you see water on the floor after you turn left.... you still have a drain blockage. Possibly on the port in the tray where the hose connects to.

3" lift. $10K in TRD options. Richie's semi-hidden bumper, and soon his Elka suspension
My daughter's corolla had a butyl blockage over drain hose hole, so basically the unit was sealed and wouldn't drain.
once I punctured the seal and got it opened up, almost 4 litres of water came out of the HVAC!
She bought the car brand new in 2013 and it started pissing all over the floor just last year.

The KTJO4x4 grab handle V2-PKTCMGRAB-C0 came in. Ordered Friday night, shipped out Monday afternoon. All parts accounted for and no cosmetic damage. Unfortunately it shipped via UPS instead of FedEx this time, and brokerage fees were significantly higher. Wonder if I'm the first in Canuckistan with the V2 grab handle?

With V2, the lower fastener changed from an M6 clip nut to a tiny M3 (?) rivnut, and KTJO4x4 includes a ratcheting cinch gun. The screw seemed too small, so I left the old clip nut in place and used the M6 grab handle screw from my previous 2nd gen, P/N 90159-A0047.

Installation with the deep-set bosses and short screws is indeed easier than V1. I found a shallow 10mm socket with 3" long 1/4" drive extension was handy for the lower screw. Fitment of the screw covers is flush and tighter than V1.

Did you notice the photography wizardry in that shot though?

Shows that we have the right person designated as the photographer....

    Oh yeah, the wizard stuff.

Notice he put the shaver really close to the camera in depth to that shot?

He did that so we think he needs a HUGE trimmer for his junk.
