Ill see if i have any spare summer adventure images laying around of some of the places.

    In the summer time,
    When the weather is hot
    You can stretch right out
    And touch the sky
    When the weather is hot
You got trucks, you got trucks on your mind

The bugs aren't that bad... Sure they can get annoying. Try a bushwhack double carry portage in the June, now that can be extra annoying. But truck camping style, bah common haha.

    That said for those that just hate the little fuckers these are great;

To me that looks like a road trip on the 417 through whitewater region.... I could be very wrong, but I feel like I've passed that sign 100's of times!

Is it possible that is one set of winter hwy tires and one set of trail tires?

Been up in whitehorse, yukon for the last 8 months...
    :burp:
Yes, winter highway and the other cant grip ice worth shit but does well in snow.

YG (Yukon Government) has a lot of contracts out for snow clearing, highways, parking lots, main streets, side streets, businesses, sidewalks, everything.

Needed weight in the back so my ass would stop sliding around. Apparently a trailer basket and 4 tires was enough to start to lift my front end.
Was going for that california lean dog squat style thing
    :anonymous:
Driving on iced roads is hella dangerous. Look what happened near london- 100 car pile up
    Keep it plante

Nice! I’ve been through Whitehorse before, lucky guy to spend time there!

Everything is so big and open up there, it is amazing.

Hoping to pass through Yukon on my way back from a canoe trip through NWT summer 2023.

Mounted up the winter shoes yesterday, ran the KO2’s last winter with minimal issues but did have a few sketchy moments on compact snow/ice. Also gave the engine bay a bit of a spritz and the frame a healthy coating of corrosion free, taco is now winter ready :santa2:

I didn’t have an issue last year, they were fantastic in deep snow, but they were not doing so hot this year when I hit some ice a few weeks back. Also had the Michelin’s from when I bought the truck so figured I might as well put them on this year.
What load rating are your falkens? I know they have a silica compound in some of their tires but I don’t think the E rated ones do.

The ko2’s are probably my least favourite tire I have run for an all around tire. My ko2’s chunked and dry cracked pretty prematurely. Weren’t too good in snow and mud. But compared to the coopers and my falcons I wasn’t too pleased. They are priced pretty cheap so I get it.

I always run an e rated tires since my trucks a pig.

I am visiting northern Ontario for the holidays. I drove all the way from California. The freeways being closed last night was an adventure. Winched out a Ford ranger. Winched myself out of a ditch. Had to sneak by semi trucks parked on the side streets, crashed cars. I used all of my recovery gear

Glad you made it safe and sound. In northern Ontario we don’t off-road we just commute in the winter :p

way to go picking yesterday to show up!

Yup visibility was near zero round those parts
    Or so as i'm told
But good on you for helping who you can. Those parts dont see a lot of traffic so you might have been the only one who could help for the next few hours

Visibility was awful. Crawling along at 15km/h in some spots.

I found the couple around 4am or so. It definitely would have been a while before any else could have helped.

Truck decided to grow a spoiler last night.
