Yeah, there are no tacos at the salvage yard. I essentially have 2 complete, functional housings, just the outer shell and part that holds them in is broken. I'd like to upgrade the glass already so the whole assembly is kinda wasted but also probably cheaper regardless

    cheap>fancy

can always get the Rav4 lenses and the new housings and just swap them in. that way if you dont like em - you can swap em back to the regular flat ones

I'm actually not sure. I can't find the spec on them. ALL I know it's 16x8. Black Rhino Stadium rims.

    Freedom winch line version 3.
    https://youtu.be/435rTZe1oyA

So basically made a button knot at the end, and a stand alone semi continuous loop. $400CAD for a 90ft line, which isn't horrible compared to a replacement smittybuilt 10k one (around $450-460)

that button knot is straight forward to make if anyone wants to try their hand at it.:
    https://youtu.be/91_jEjQdlBU
Not sure if the "freedom loop" he has is just a double Brummel locked eye splice or just something else.
    EDIT: it's a Brummel with a sleeve

Different style button knot (simpler to make):
    https://youtu.be/jU_mmdbQeCQ

Climbing/ sailing/ arbourists/ offroading/ etc... same concept, just upscale it to our winch lines

if you want to be more creative:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8P3GK21Mdtk
(he tests the double eyelet loop (that bleepin jeep uses) at 7minutes.

Those tires are 265/75/16? They look bigger than that but hard to tell through pictures sometimes.

Im looking to also get some black rhino wheels with -10 offset but with 285's instead of 265's.

If youre rubbing at that size im probably gonna have to do a lot of cutting to avoid rubbing with my 285's :(

Do you have any lift on your truck or is it stock TRD offroad suspension? I have 2 extra inches of lift on my TRD offroad but I doubt that will avoid any significant amount of rubbing

You will have to cut. 285s are the most asked about tires in the history of tires and 99% require cutting unless you're able to do something with aftermarket UCAs. Lift won't stop rubbing at the cab mount

I had to remove my mud flaps on OEM suspension with a 255/85/16 with a -12mm offset with my ProComp 7069 rims... granted UCAs and a lift helped getting mud flaps back in.
with 285, you might be in CMC (Cab Mount Chop) territory with a -10mm offset.

Sometimes it's worth paying someone to do a deep clean of the inside of your vehicle. That way you have more time for more mods. Kudos to a local auto detailing startup in St. Thomas Ont. They did an exceptional job.
