Yeah, I hope the guy is alright. I always enjoyed his contributions to the forum.

 

Anyone know of a shop in the Hamilton area that can do the exhaust re-route? I know Sumin is the preferred/known shop for this, but it's quite a hike out there...
Is this something any reputable exhaust shop should be able to do ?

I like that one as it comes with a separate cross member. Anybody have experience with ordering from Tacomabeast?

No need to order anything from Tacoma Beast. For lights order from eBay (same chineseium, lower price). For RCI skids order from Overland Outfitters in BC (to avoid a brokerage fee hit) or from RCI directly like @Shveet and @MaverickT883 did.

 

Yup. They got it to me in 4 days. Crazy quick.

Love my RCI plates as well. My truck has been doing trails it has no right doing stock, thanks to my ability to basically toboggan along on my skids. Lift going in Thursday tho

There are variations to the reroute as well. Some shops use a prefab Y-collector to be able to position the crossover pipe farther aft, for more clearance with the transfer case actuator. You can print the photo out and give it to the exhaust shop for reference:

 

plus Tacomabeast doesn't subscribe to the same code of conduct and ethics while off-roading which is Tread Lightly and Leave No Trace Behind. i know the incident was some time ago but they dont deserve our support given their actions and follow up response IMO.

keep as much space between the exhaust and the T-case module as you can. mine is a little too close, but anything beyond 8" should be alright.

Doesn't take much to be an asshole, but it defines you by it really easily.

it's stupid shit like this as to why trails are being closed yearly. People not respecting where they go to and governing bodies saying "fuck you" and blanket closes off entire forests and trail systems because of a few bad apples.

much like at Ardbeg how we do the clean up runs up and down the trails because if we don't, we could loose access to it.
we know it's not 4x4 people out there tossing stoves and chest freezers. most likely some lazy local (to the cottages), or someone from out of town that prefers to spend more in gas than the fee at the dump and then decide to blame us for it?

The thing with influencers is they live and die by the publicity. Joe schmoe carving his initials on a rock (or very commonly, on a tree) wouldn't raise an eyebrow. Tacoma Beast happens to have built a business with a large following.
