I know this is old news to a lot of you guys cuz you have one of these but I just got mine and I think it's great

 

@Shveet will get his this weekend...

 

It has limited use because the hydraulic ram stroke is less than our trucks' suspension travel. It also doesn't compress short enough to go under the axle when you have a flat tire.

 

I've seen it work on out off-road trips too many times just could not pass it up.

Does the bottle jack come off?
I need a bottle jack to try and bend my skid plate back and this would be a nice addition.

 

Nope bottle jack it permanently attached.

I’m 6 hours away, but man if anyone could help this dude out it would be awesome….

 

@llamasmurf to the rescue, he lives in that area. He is deep tho, may need more then one truck tugging him out... I've been in similar situation and we had train going with @Tridet167 @Therby and another vehicle all hooked up together and winching off the tree just to tug me out.

We are headed there in the am...got the notification after he/she was rescued....

Yeah that was a hard recovery. Didn't @Therby break his winch?
It was like you were suctioned into the mud.

 

Yep, his winch drum/mount snapped when he tried pulling me out. I was sitting as deep as that jeep.

 

By the time I talked to Scott around noon and got some info and a contact # I was in cell phone no zone. To far away from hwy 17 is my guess...never saw them anywhere but got a text later in the day that they pretty much had it out.
In the mean time...

 

Sounds like the trail clean up went well...we were headed South when you guys were headed North!
