One of those battery powered ultra sonic deterrents might be a good interim solution before the Viking funeral is applied

I don't know how to be proactive but my mom just spent $2500 fixing wiring damage from rodents. It's hard to track down and hard to fix

Could've crawled in through the HVAC system. If I remember correctly, 2nd gens lacked a grille over the fresh air intake in the cowl. Check your cabin filter for signs of nesting.

After I did my FJ case it's a casium around the shifter. So definately from there. Took some time to investigate further. :frusty::frusty::frusty:

My fault all around. Ketchup packages, open floor and parking every day at work by mouse trap

That's a bait station, supposed to have rat poison pellets inside.

poision pellets rarely work for me as of late. not sure if the rats in the golden horseshoe have evolved.

@Windigo you'll probably want to check the vents, the air box, cabin filter, engine filter, rats nest electrical harnesses, and generally the entire engine bay for mice or their signs. if they got in, they know it's going to be a warm place to keep out of the cold and will fight you for it.

It's aluminum (i.e. lower stiffness than steel). To account for springback, you need to support the skid on two pieces of wood so the jack head can go past level.

The jack prop rod on 3rd gens fits a 3/8" impact if you want to turn up the fuckery level

Yup, I realised that when I wanted to move the jack; the ff'in plate moved right back to where it was.... I'll try putting some 2x4s under it it so i can bend it past level and see if that works.
If not, then I'll have to try @Shveet 's approach :D:D (or just get a steel skid plate...)
