In other news, they don’t make them like they used to… This vehicles are getting more and more expensive, and less trail worthy. The new T4R is probably going to cost at least 50K cad which leaves some room for mini cruiser if that ever comes out.

I thought the LHD was odd too, but didn’t dwell on it too deeply.
I was digging the stats on the 2.8L diesel motor that we wont get. I forget the hp/tq figures, but the fuel economy at 10L/100km in a non-hybrid floats my boat.

Crank up the gamma and you'll see the new 4Runner comes with the same temp spare that looks like a DOT racing tire. The tailgate is probably made from aluminum this time around, so it won't rust out like on 4th/5th gens.

2024 4Runner starts at $56k for the base model, so 2025 starting above $60k is probable.

    Check build thread!
Nice to see Toyota offering something that works better than the stock 3rd gen skids.

Lulz...experience. 1994 I bought my 85 (900 bux), tailgate had no glass and rotten tailgate where you could put four fingers thru and tickle my taint. Figured, hells bells, I'll get a new tailgate out of a pick and pull easy peasy....9 yr old buggy...lol, closest functional clean tailgate I could find was in cali. 300 bux to my front door.

Taught me a cheap lesson...retracting glass in the tailgate, rustproof the fuck out of it every year...they sure as shit ain't coming from Cali for 3 hundy no more

2 additional 4runners later, you haz little trucky

I was at Brimell Toyota buying transmission drain plug gaskets at $6 apiece, when I noticed a sign proudly announcing their new 3-tier labor rates depending on the expertise level required for the job. If I remember correctly, low tier is $60/hr, mid-tier is $150/hr, and high-tier is $300/hr. The high tier is for things like hybrid system diagnosis. Signs of the times...

No, but some dealer web sites now have a link titled "service financing". Get a $370 Supra oil change (with Gazoo Racing 0W20 from Spain) and pay in installments.

The large dealers in the GTA have on-site restaurant, Playstations in the customer lounge, and multiple screens showing vehicle repair status like airport flight status displays...

I’d like to see all the happy faces when dealers start warranty void on hybrid models due to “mud in the wheels wells, must be off-roading!”
