^Yep. The only drop-in solution for the stock front diff is portals, which reduce stress on the diff through gear reduction.

Dry sump and center mount diff would be the ultimate long travel conversion. Probably still some packaging challenges with this approach

Anyone ever snapped the coolant drain plug off when trying to loosen it? On a 3rd gen?

Can you just unscrew the rest of the top block drain cock from the block?

^I searched for the word "cock" in the factory service manual and came across the install instructions:

Nope. 6 point socket on the shortest extension I could use (truck on the lift) and a 3/8 drive ratchet. Just went to loosen it and it just snapped off. Didn't even use two hands.

It snapped off before it loosened so no leak thankfully. Just leave it and see I guess.

Wiped down the tent and treated with silicone waterproofing spray at end of season:

^This is effectively a new tent lol, purchased on sale at the beginning of the year and used only three times. You might remember me posting the Amz link: https://www.tacomaworld.com/posts/30348772 Looks like the $170 price is still active.

My previous tent (same model number) got punctured when one of the fiberglass poles broke last year. Got six years (2019-2024) out of that tent.
