It's been really cold. I have been helping flood a natural rink down the street at a local park and the water freezes almost instantly.

As I learned from work over the years, nothing cool about being cold.

Bringing out all the layers tomorrow for when we get stuck

I’ll be leaving Milton a bit earlier to get some breakfast, bring some coffees and maybe warm up the cabin for noon. It’s about an hour twenty to and hour and a half drive. Traffic dependent of course.

A local guy is opening a off road shop, these are the ones he sells and the price was right. I actually bought 2 sets of black, but long story short these are some loaners until Monday.

In a pinch, you can always loop the recovery strap around the hitch pin. Side-pulls will cause more abrasion to the strap though.

@Thyces , with the new style zerked ball joints you won't have to, and you'll save a pile of cash. So, you already have invested in sturdy UCA's that require a small repair and upgrade, which will be worthless if you don't. Then you'll have to throw way more cash at something else.

... and yes, you will have to put up with 'this shit' again with no matter what you buy if you do a lot of off roading. Let me see, $200 to fix now and they should last a long, long time with maintenance. $1000+ any way you look at it for fancy-pants uniball UCA's that you don't REALLY need, which will bag out in a couple of years in our climate.

Save the $800 for something else. Let me check in my garage. ;)
