Alright so snow is definitely gone at the moment but there is a offroad event going on. It's more of a navigation thing on some back roads. Should be a good time atleast talking trucks at the initiall meet up.

de-badged, tint front windows, led interior lights, door sill protectors, led b/up lights, 5" factory step rails, yellow turn signal bulbs, added 4 D ring tie downs. Took off the black vinyl stripes between the doors. Changed the grill - from Custom Car Grills, Finally got a tonneau cover put on. 31" light bar ( white & amber ), tailgate light bar, sunvisor covers ( to hide warning labels ), new bedside decals - still too cold to put them on tho. Flag decals to go on too, again too cold still. Got a 2 switch, switch plate to replace that useless cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel.. still to be installed ( hopefully this weekend ). Upgraded the tires to G/Y Duratracs... loving them, no plowing the driveway !!
The Rally of Abandoned Ontario is a brand new but old-school style winter event designed to get people out and about exploring at their own pace, but with a competitive element thrown in.

    ...
    ENTRY FEE.
Suggested $5 donation to cover costs, with all profit going to the Bradford Helping Hand Food Bank.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED.
SOUTHERN ONTARIO BACK ROAD MAP BOOK, camera, winter driving skills, a good navigator, snacks, supplies and a sense of fun.

    WHERE YOU'LL BE DRIVING.
The main body of the rally will take place to the north of the GTA in an area roughly bordered by highway 9 to the south, the Niagara escarpment to the west, Lake Simcoe to the east and the southern edge of Georgian Bay to the north.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE LOOKING FOR.
Within the main rally area you'll be searching for 27 farms, houses and barns, 8 vehicles, 7 commercial properties, 3 ghost towns and 2 miscellaneous items for which you'll receive points totalling 1900.
Outside of the rally area there are a further 58 Ghost towns, but you only have to find 3 for 200 points each giving a possible maximum of 2500 for the rally.

    ON THE DAY.
Rally notes with BRMB page numbers, grid references, a clue or brief description of what you're looking for and it's associated point value will be posted to the event page at 6am.

Anyone can use the clues in conjunction with the Southern Ontario Back Road Map Book to discover abandoned Ontario but if you’re competing and wish to be eligible for any of the prizes you MUST REGISTER in person between 9 & 10:30am at the Husky truck stop Bradford where you'll receive your rally sticker and competitor number.

    PHOTO COMPETITION RULES.
    (To be confirmed)

Only competition entries uploaded to the dropbox account BEFORE midnight on Sunday 5th will be eligible and must include the following information (for example only):

    Your Rally# 217000
    Total clues located: 32
(Include all clue numbers found in your post, eg. 1-15, 18, 20, 25-30, 33-40, 44)
    Ghost towns located: 3
    (Name of towns found)
    Driver/navigator picture with vehicle.
    One picture per location found.

Uploads AFTER midnight on the 5th or those that DO NOT contain the required information will NOT be considered for entry into the competition.

The person with the highest number of points will be declared the overall rally winner by noon on Sunday 12th February (subject to change) and arrangements for prize delivery will be made soon after.
Other class winners will be announced at the same time.

In the event of a tie, the entry that's uploaded earliest will be declared the winner, and in all instances the organisers decision is final.

    WHAT THIS ISN'T.
This IS NOT a closed course rally, an off road event, a race, nor is it a guided trip.

    SAFETY:
Despite appearances, abandoned buildings are usually still owned, and often by people who will not hesitate to prosecute trespassers!
They are also dangerous and as we don't want to lose anyone, please do not venture closer than is necessary to take competition photographs. Shots from the road will be fine.

Winter driving can be hazardous and as you will most likely be competing alone, driving quiet back roads, you should arrive at the event with both your crew and vehicle prepared accordingly.

Support vehicles from CORE Outfitters (CB Ch4) will be out and about (offering their services free of charge if you slip in a ditch) during the weekend and should anyone need it, professional recovery will also be available (at regular rates) during the rally thanks to TowrontoTowing.

    WEATHER
This is a winter driving event held in Ontario's snow belt so it will go ahead whatever the weather, unless Environment Canada predicts EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS such as white outs or an ice storm for the rally area, in which case it will be postponed until the following weekend, 11th and 12th February 2017.

A huge thank you to all of our valued sponsors for generously supporting the Rally of Abandoned Ontario.

    DISCLAIMER:
We hope you enjoy the Rally of Abandoned Ontario but please remember that although this is a competitive event, it is not a race and we want everyone to have fun and return home safely.
Drivers are politely reminded to respect not only traffic laws but other people's property, and any unacceptable behavior whilst competing or towards other competitors will result in instant disqualification and the individual will be asked to leave the event.
The organisers and event sponsors do not accept any liability for injuries or accidents that may occur from participating in the Rally of Abandoned Ontario.
