Pretty good. The of4wdmeet was kinda of dry but was pretty interesting with regards to the logistics and stuff being done to keep the trails open. Happy I went and learned about where the memberships are going.

The meet afterwards was good to. Shot the shit, compared notes and what not.

Hopefully the one in May is warmer.

The Southern Ontario meet and greet is at a mall in one of the biggest urban centers in North America. Are you kidding me? No one could find a nice little place to meet on some backroad for lunch?

The jokes about mall crawlers arent lost on this group are they? So anyone not in the GTA is going to drive over an hour (or maybe more myself included) to sit at a mall parking lot. Maybe send the wife inside to shop? Maybe the next meet can be at Yorkdale or Pacific Mall.

Ball busting aside am I the only one to see how stupid this whole thing sounds? It basically sounds like a GTA meet and not at all like a S-Ont meet. Might as well meet up at the car wash so we can wash and detail those new bumpers and lift parts. Maybe Armour All those new Kbros.

It was great meeting everyone and getting a chance to talk Toyota's.....but yeah, a GPS coordinate for a clearing large enough for a couple dozen Yota's, on a trail in the middle of nowhere peaks my interest more than a mall parking lot. I've got nothing against shaking muddy hands and swatting bugs.

There have been many coffee nights with Jeep groups in the GTA for years. They are very local and well attended by the locals. Hwy 10 and Steeles Tims was one of them in Brampton. There is also a car group that meets same nights.

But for a SO meet does GTA make sense? I know since leaving the GTA I really don't want to fight traffic unless I have to. Anyway I made my beef time to move on.

The square one meet and greet was designed to get people together to see who you were wheeling with prior to the season. It's in the parking lot of a bar. Usually shoot the shit and go for lunch. Essentially a ice breaker for the upcoming season. They were trying to get something "off grid" together, but the trails are generally closed (everything is wet so tred lightly right). Also a lot of people's properties that they tried for fell through. Yeah it's not ideal but just passing it along over to this site from the other.

Hope that gives you a bit of insight to the purpose of the meet. Not just a show and shine for a bunch of mall crawlers. Well some mall crawlers go. Never see them on the trail, but that's fine, may be gathering info to set their shit up.

    Edit.
As for the location, yep it's shitty. But the Sontt group that made this meet has a lot of memebers in London, Woodstock and just generally west. So this was the most central they came up with.

I'm just caring this event from the other site over here. We can have our own, but I don't have a opening that won't get fubared this time of the year. If anyone does let us know.

@Exracer2 , don't spit on the player, spit on the game. At least someone is trying to get us together and also found a place to do it. If you are not happy, stay home and look at your truck by the window while the others are having a good time.

I lived 2 blocks from Sq1 and I can think of much better places to meet up. Taczilla good google on you. Still doesn't change the fact I know the area and think that there are many places to meet that don't force a group to stare at concrete and asphalt. Been on enough meet and greets to know that meeting at a mall sucks. If we were to meet down Picton way would Belleville mall be your choice?

Tacoma16 your explanation makes sense. Still prefer non urban meet and greets. This is one place all of my motorcycle buddies stop at. A nice drive and a destination.

There are two easy destinations to give you a destination other than a mall. I think even a meet along the lakeshore at one of the beach parking areas would be preferable to the mall. But then again I live 3 1/2 hours away by Taczilla's google so what do I know?

My point exactly. So might as well add Rossmore stop, Sandbanks, pretty much anywhere in Picton, anything that allows me to stop at Mapledale for curd (if Rossmore is out).

Malls suck for greets. That is my only point. We have so many places to try even when meeting in the GTA area. Why tap out right at the get go and settle for a mall meet? I can accept a mall meet just to get people together easily and then leave for the actual destination.

Dead horse. Points made by everyone.

Like I said I totally agree. This isn't my meet so I am just going with the flow. This is done up by the Sontt group that I think I have linked in the first page. Their meet, their location.

We can definitely do another one (or an alternative one) I'm just here to talk trucks where ever that happens lol.

I'm also just compiling info from other forums and trying to organize it. Let me know what I can do to help by putting stuff in the first page or what not. If guys are interested in the locations you posted we can get something going.

I'm just waiting for shit to dry so I can go hit the trails.
