I dunno thats just what i was told because it “reduces damage to other in lowimpact colisions.” (Hitting a pedestrian i would assume). Plus the sides of the crash bar could be called exposed sharp edges. i just put it back on it only takes an extra 5 minutes and id rather not have to argue about what is and isnt a bumper on the side of the road lol

Canadian vehicles are mandated to withstand and impact of 17 kilometers per hour for pedestrian safety. I have had to safety imported vehicles from the states and other province's and they were required to satisfy ontarios code which is 20 kilometers impact. Had to do a corvette a couple years ago that required a impact resistant piece of foam the size of a pack of cigarettes in the rear bumper. Cost to re and re the bumper and the new impact foam was around $400.

Would anyone with a bumper happen to know the height of their shackle points?

Ill see if I can get that to you tonight. Ill do it in relation to something that doesn't involve height from the ground since suspension and tires affect that.

this may help in the mean time

essentially it mounts on the side of the winch cradle

River road, down the river from forest lake just past the airport, it’s a nice little nook right before the old staging quarry for the MNR logging op that was down there. We used to take our trucks down the logging roads into Algonquin and flee from the park rangers trying to find trails to rip.
