How bad do you lads think temporarily staying on stock Billy rear shocks with a 2” AAL is? Won’t be off-roading on them I don’t think just want to do stuff in stages.

Yah, I might as well just buy 5100s then. I was hoping I could put the AAL in and then save up for the 5100s.

Depends on the condition of the stock Billies. :) Loads are higher for sure, but a shock in good condition would be able to take it. If the shock is 17 years old and rusty, all bets are off.

Yeah to be honest they're probably old as fuck, I don't know if they're original though. I just don't want to overextend and blow one out.

^About doing stuff in stages. From what I understand, removing a rear shock on 1st gens can be a fight on its own - the top bushing likes to rust-seize on the frame "spigot". It's a bit like the LCA cam bolts. Replacing the shocks may well take a lot longer than installing AALs. Plan accordingly. :)

Hey! That sounds like a plan!
@Atlas86 are you in the KW area? I'm in Woodstock, but we can figure something out.

@Bocsy44 I can do an e-transfer for you.

Oh rly? I make (somewhat) regular progress updates on TNORTT, lots of stalling for time and cash restraints though.
    http://tnortt.ca/forums/topic/redee-1986-4runner/

Tires have been on my radar for months but hardpressed to fall into a 4-digit surplus of cash. Have to step up to 17s also, but I believe OEM Taco 17s rims have too much backspacing. Didn’t look right when I test fit one onto the front Right a few months back.

As someone of you know, I recently purchased the worst vehicle to own as a daily driver. With a soft top of course.

This is what you get in a winter storm.

Why isnt it winter ready? Its great in the snow with the dueler all-terrains it came with. Put and actual snow tire and it would be amazing.
Hard top would be nice but not necessary for me and just more hassles
