Yes, that also comes with the filter when you buy it.

    One filter
    2 seals for filter housing
    1 drain gasket

Well next part of the story

I kept reefing on it wouldn’t budge. Tried tapping the ratchet with a hammer, nope. Used my Dewalt impact, snapped the bit ( just a cheapy) so said fuck it all and used a air gun. Ripped the taps off and oils is coming out of the sides. Called and bitched to Toyota. They are coming to get it

Years ago I had a heated debate with the VW dealer about them over tightening the oil filter. They changed the oil in the fall. From the dealer I took the car to the storage facility. In the spring I brought the car from the storage facility back to dealer for the oil to be changed out again after sitting all winter. They tried telling me that because I hadn’t brought it in for a 3 month oil change in January the filter was seized.
Yeah, that explanation didn’t work for me. Eventually they agreed that it was unrealistic to expect the car be taken out of storage mid winter and they may have snugged it up a little tight. That was the last time they worked on a car of mine.

They do, aluminum one, I installed it the first time I did oil change. But if you want plastic one, I still have mine with only 8K on it lol.

    An unreliable engine
I’ve always done hand tight and then a quick ‘snug’ on the filter wrench. Learned my lesson first time on my Jeep when I ended up doing the same thing and mangling the filter and had to flat tow it it to napa for them to work some voodoo magic on it.

I thought Toyota over torqued the filter on my daughter's 2012 Corolla (cartridge style).
Couldn't get that fucker off for the life of me.
Took it to Toyota, chewed them out for over tightening it and they loosened it for me (for free).
Did the oil/filter change and made sure I only tightened it hand tight.
Next oil change the it was the same.....
for some reason, they seem to tighten up... can't explain it...

    Likely due to thermal cycling

I'm curious what the tip is from Toyota for loosening it.

Engine should be warm when changing the engine. Maybe it needs to cool in order to remove the filter?
