^Yea the main fire roads and dual track trails are very stock-friendly. The sand bowls may need a rear locker. We didn't encounter any deep water, except that mud pit seen in pictures.
I wouldn't buy a ZR2 for the same reason I wouldn't buy a TRD Pro - it's cheaper to get a lower-trim truck and mod it up yourself.

Take care of your Taco's and forget the Chevy's. They might look nice new but won't be worth anything in 3-5years, if they still run. LOL.
Had a Cavalier with their famous 2.8L V6 and needed a new engine block after 55k. I will never buy another one no matter what it is.
My Taco is long term and I will keep it going as long as it's worth it.

So I will not be needing the tool as I originally thought. After speaking to my mechanic he says the same thing as @tacoma16, we are not going to make it a problem until it is one, then fix it.

This is true. I was lucky and didn’t have any issues. The ones that do usually have it from factory. Like I said if the diff is out, might as well.

Thanks to these beautiful lads @Joe23 and @tacoma16, my taco lives another day. Started the whole bearing + seal replacement at 9:30am this morning and didnt finish till 11:30pm in the evening. Didnt have the right tools for a number of different steps, a bunch of the bolts were seized and I fucked a bunch of shit up..

Luckily after disassembling the hub assembly and removing the spindle/cv axle like 3 times I finally got everything fixed and shes driving like shes new again.

@Joe23 That hissing noise ended up being that god damn dust seal I couldnt press in place properly, the outer metal shell was contacting the end of the cv axle while it turned. Wouldnt do any damage and the noise would of eventually gone away from the metal being worn down, but I completely disassembled the hub again after you left to fix it. Had to sand down the inner ring on the knuckle a bit to get the dust seal to fit properly.

So I should be ready for minden next week boys, heres hoping nothing else fucks up in the meantime.

I'm glad those days are over... sort of.

I went to NS and back last weekend to pick up my retirement toy.

Took it out yesterday for a shake down. 66 mph on the GPS. I haven't found the sweet spot yet with the hydraulic jack plate. I should get 72 mph out of it.

The real fishing has just started here on the Bay of Quinte / Lake Ontario. I'm 10 minutes from either launch. Going out in an hour or two with my neighbour. I'm heading out to the Main Duck Islands for monster smallies.

BTW... I used to guide on Lake Nipissing out of Chaudiere Lodge with my Triton TR21 DC / 225 Opti.
