Also posted in OF4 trying to find out how it is lately. From what I'm hearing the water is much lower now compared to when we did it.

Yeah I have to figure out what I’m going to do.
This was something I was thinking about. Just the mills to do it. Plus the lack of lockable storage. If I could get a Aussie tray that would be ideal.
    Easier said than done.

I may also be out for minden :(. Lots of shit to go over with the truck plus work just got busy. Reports are coming up soon.

Just a big no! I've done it.

    @Jake4848

You can have the first quarter of the bed lockable and the rest have it open.
I just googled the first applicable image to what I meant, but there are millions of options how you can make it work.

Or you can go all in and do this.... $$$$$$$$

For the tray I'd imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to make once the bed is off.
Might need to look into a custom fab shop, or get rid of the cap and go bed rack?

Could always run a truck box like @Theicemedic does for lockable storage.

I've honestly considered doing something like that. Maybe not to that extreme but like making or getting a custom box made towards the front of the bed for storage.

Issue is I like having my bed be available to move stuff should I need to. So kind of hesitant in doing so. Would need to be something easily removed.
Thinking maybe some sort of mounting of those truck boxes from princess auto to the bed rack.

Same thing, that's why I am looking into 1999-2000 4Runners now lol. I can have better lockable storage & hard top RTT!
I almost got one 2 days ago, but was outbid by the other person.
Oh well, I am not in a rush at all to find one anyways, just going to check classifieds weekly.

Tacoma is getting bigger and bigger with every gen, it's not a midsize truck anymore.
I looked at the prices of the 1st gen Tacomas in Canada, it's insane! The 1st gen Tundra is cheaper right now than a Tacoma with the same milage...
so 4Runenr it is, the perfect combo/unicorn for me will be the 1999 4Runner Highlander Edition, but that's impossible it seems.

Yep, my friend and I are looking to have something that will be used just for trails.
It will be sitting in the garage most of the time until the fun time comes.

I know it's not for sale! lol
And you know how much this thing is worth, the seller I was talking to had no fucking idea what she had on her driveway...

I offered $3200, the other person "apparently" did $4000 cash.
300,000KM limited with RR, but needs a new hood (dented) and rear bumper all in a rust.
