Haha no, the bad idea was doing it in a French immersion school zone that's heavily patrolled during the heavy patrolled time lol

Yea he is registered with Fox for snow machine (sled) shocks, Fox sends them to him. I was there when the Purolator guy delivered several large boxes of shocks shipped from Fox for full rebuilds, and saw them on his shop bench when I was getting my lift installed.

He has been rebuilding shocks for many years.

It sucks with fox. They won't let anyone service their truck or off road shocks. They'll sell the parts to them to rebuild but no one besides fox in California can do warranty approved service work.

    Didn't do any of it.

Just paid ski to do it all. Think it was around $400-$450 to fix. Parts and labour.

Better than the $800 Fox would've ended up charging me if I sent it in and they denied warranty which would've been really likely

That sucks. That’s one reason I went with a coilover that couldn’t be rebuilt. Although I’m not getting the performance, I can essentially replace my stuff every few years (6-7) instead of the hassle of having it rebuilt every couple of years.

I am still waiting see a pic of the damage to @Norilsk P-rated tire.

What actually happened to it? You blow out the sidewall? Get a puncture? :argue:

    Needs the info :annoyed:

    :bikewhoops:

@Theicemedic and your woman, sorry I did not stop in and say 'Hi' when I picked up my items from @Norilsk at the Ardbeg store. I was driving my Dad's stupid SUV and that 520N highway was a little to much for my stomach. I dont know how anyone can do 80km/h on that highway.

1st time I have made myself car sick while driving, that was the worst ride home ever. Stop, puke, keep going 5 minutes, Stop, puke. I got sunburn on my throat because I fell alseep in the ditch twice with my hat on my face. lol.

It's just a 2" cut on the sidewall inside of the wheel, I already got a new tire for $40, got to love tire shop warranty.
Like I said, going over 30km/h on a south trail is not something any tires are made for, so I don't blame the tire here lol

You should've seen face of a passenger at my back seat after 3 hour ride and when we were doing 100-110 on those roads, guy almost passed away.
My buddies aren't coming in the future, too much extreme they say...:notsure:

Update: found the picture, maybe a bit bigger lol

    Snap they warrantied it, nice.

I was wondering what the out come of bringing them along would be, figured it would be a bit extreme for most people doing the shit you do lol

but a rebuild could be cheaper than a whole new shock possibly.

Mine was expensive because a part of the body was broken but just the general service they need every 80k km aren't that bad.
The parts all together are probably only like $60 for rebuilds then the $150 labour Ski charges.

But I get what you're saying.

Yea I am pretty happy so far with my adjustable billies.

Doing everything I need for now, I am sure in a few years I will realize what I am missing.
