Hey guys, I'm pulling off my tires in the next day or two for a new set I've ordered. Figured someone here may be interested....they are 4 BFG KO2's 285/70/17 with about 65% tread left, even wear, no plugs or damage, no balance issues, and super quiet on the road. I've actually really enjoyed these tires but I wanted a full size spare for a road trip I'm leaving for next week and to rotate in so I just ordered a new set.

Hit me up with a fair offer for the set of 4 if you're interested. Once they're off I'll post them in for sale section too.

I agree, I see one of these in my truck once its paid off. Seems to match up with the style of off roading I like.

you know its like $5000CND+ to do one right?

$2900 for Tcase + shipping and import fees easily hit $3400 just for the case.
roughly $1000 for new drive shafts
any fab work for new cross member to hold it etc.

big price to pay and you need to be doing LOTS of rock crawling for that case.

Yes I have looked at the costs associated with the marlin crawler stuff.

Have you seen what you have posted for your suspension costs.

Gotta pay to play the way you want to play.

ya but suspension is every day use. the ride on road is better etc.

crawl box is only off road and even then not 100% needed as we don't go to any of those hard rock crawl like that.
If you're going crawl box you better have at minimum 35s if not 37s at that point. Because any place you will actually need that level of crawl you'll need bigger tires than 33s and its more beneficial to manual than automatic.

If you're going to do it be ready to have a lot more mods as well like 35s, gears, lockers front and rear etc.
becasue otherwise a crawl box is going to be useless without the rest since you wont be getting to any of those trails otherwise.

Yep not like I will have the truck paid off tomorrow. It will progress into what @tacoma16 has created, a beast. Mine will have a taco box cuz I want it :cookiemonster:

I hate to bring it up again, but a taco box for me could be everyday use in the summer. Where I live has everything for wheeling. TMR Customs puts on a rock crawl thing less than 2 hours from my house.

Yea just saying I have access to the same type of stuff, locally.

We all have plans I am sure for our rigs, mine is to eventually end up doing more crawling type stuff than anything else. More along the lines of 35's probably though, gotta be reasonable. :cookiemonster: Never know though after the years go by what you actually will do

Right now OF4WD is talking about creating some 4, 4+ and 5 trail obstacles on the VMUTS. Off shoots of the current trails that just give you the option to do crazy hard shit. I think its going to work out great.

In the end, it's only money. We just keep spending anyway so what's another few thousand on something you want. I want a diesel engine and if I had the money, I would do a swap tomorrow. Customization is very personal so it's hard to say what is worth it or not.
As long as you're working, keep spending. :spending::D

@Joe23 Are you working yet? You were in between jobs you mentioned.
I have been floating around from company to company in the last couple of months and it's been hard settling somewhere. Finally settled now and since Swisha is coming thought I would be fucked asking for time off being there only three weeks but foreman was cool about it.

    still off.
Talked to a former foreman today though said I'm on his list of guys he wants for his job just said he doesn't know when it will be starting could be a week or two, could be four he says.

Been off for almost 3 months now, sucks and not only could going back to work right when swisha happens be a problem to make me where I can't go, its also the funding aspect is starting to be considered. Given it will be a decent amount of money on fuel, being on EI its kind of hard.

Yeah, i was thinking about that today. If gas is around 1.30 like it is now and we dont have to pay a premium if we get gas near or on swisha. It’s going to be around $400 for gas.

Send those bump stops back then, you’re coming

I know, it's stressfull. I was self employed when I was going through it so no EI for me. I was relying on small side jobs to come through while I was waiting to get called. I'm now with Carpenters Local 27 and hopefully I'll be steady.
Hope you can make it to Swisha brother.

expect a premium, the station by Ardbeg is significantly more than anywhere else like in Perry sound.
Wouldn't doubt its the same there so likely more.
