did you get the soft topper from a canadian source or US?

 

I bought it used off kijiji.
The guy I bought it off, bought it off someone else. So I've no idea where it came from.

 

These guys use it. Go to 11:10. Probably less risky than the handbrake turns they were doing on the trail

 

Motivation Saturday for @Norilsk to get his heap of scrap metal on the road

 

Working on it day and night!
- new floors
- new cross member
- soon new rear bumper
- gas tank relocation
- need to get bed and weld sides a la prerunner style etc

Next summer it will be a beast on 35s and-or fried engine/broken gears/driveshaft !

I plan on going Friday sometime, coming home on Saturday sometime. This is what we have planned right now, weather seems to say it going to work so far.

 

I'm driving up Friday night. Are we staying at the same spot if available?

Ill be driving up Friday as well. Can always meet again. Worst case I know the spots. Hopefully we can get the same spot as last time.

 

I got the granite peak ones that @Joe23 suggested because they are 2" taller. I am 6'3" and the ones I got say they will fit 6'4".

The length was the main reason I got them, I could not find any ones longer when I was looking for that good of a price.

 

I ended up getting the Woods Heritage -10 bag which was on sale as well. I need warmth.,

0C bag when its going to be -4C might not do much.
Maybe put a wool blanket over to add some extra warmth or get a sleeping bag liner

 

Eugene and I will be heading up friday evening after work.
Thinking around 2-3pm should start to be on our way.

Ya I dono how much - degreee camping I’m guna do. I think it was +6 last time? I froze tho. No idea what that sleeping bag is even rated for. No tags. Even a - 7 would be good.
