Pretty grateful I haven't screwed it up with my girlfriend. We have been dating since highschool (when it was easier to meet people). 12 years later....

 

Ill testify to that, met the Mrs while swiping right.. even more of a shot in the dark. I got super fucking lucky lol. Likes to shoots guns, loves to fish and especially loves camping in the taco.

 

lol, When I re-entered the dating world on the cusp of 40 I had no idea of what I was in store for. I literally hadn't dated since the previous century/millennium.

Now at 42, the whole thing just is tiring.

yeah, dating in a microcosm like high school, college or a community group certainly is easier. Online dating is a series of blind dates where you cross your fingers.

My work is mostly guys, so very few options of meeting someone in the office genepool. Plus I'm a manager, so that reduces it further.

Rest of the time I'm either out with the kids/dogs or at home doing chores. Most of my hobbies tend to only have guys, so my social circles again limit my ability to meet women.

Went on a coffee date a few months back, and she had camping in her profile. Turns out she didn't like camping at all but had put it on her profile because "its what guys like", total waste of time half her profile was lies.

Went to online dating at the age of 35, when you have lots of grey hair the ladies like to tell you, you should really dye it for your pics. 'You look old' lol Heard that lots while getting shut down.

My coffee date, turned into pool at the pool hall around the corner, to a movie at my place when we got finished with pool. She moved in just a few weeks later.

One I started seeing, in Sept 2017 wanted to move in with me after a week. Then lost her shit when I said it was too soon. She certainly fell on the side of crazy in the Vicki Mendoza Diagonal

 

Two years ago was my gap year out of high school and I had just broken up with my girlfriend so I tried tinder. Not sure if I had a bad profile or what but I never got any matches lol. I met my current girlfriend by fluke. My pickup line consisted of telling her I'd help her paint her room, cause she mentioned she was too short to do it. Was love ever since that I guess.

 

Tinder is for hooking up. Great success personally, but it gets real tiring real fast. Mine comes in at an incredible height of 4'10 so if im wondering if i have you beat lol
