EMTs/Paramedics/doctors/nurses/etc are THE....WORST patients. Used to be a paramedic, and I'm still the worst patient I know.

    "Naaa...I'm fine."

    "I'll be ok"

"I'll keep an eye on it....I know what to look for."

"Ahhh, hell....I've got another arm. I'm not worried about it."

The lady is fine. Checked at the hospital. He heard from Ins they are picking up the 4Runner today and will let him know in a couple of days whats up. He got a rental 2019 Camry to drive in the meantime.

Thanks for all the well wishes to everyone!

Just a heads up. Florida and other states (check yours for laws) have laws that state you must see a doctor within 15 days of a crash. Failure to do so relieves insurance from covering any latent injuries. Even if the doctor gives you a bill of health you are then covered if something shows up a month later. But you have to see a doctor before 15 days.

If he walked away fine with the airbags not deploying, I’d say the airbag computer did it’s job. Airbags are violent things. They break thumbs and burn your wrists to save you from major neck and head trauma.

What is your son getting next?

I have no idea. He has been through a Tacoma, Prius (yuck), and 4 Runner... Right now he is driving a Camry Rental. :)
