My poor Taco!! All I did was turn a corner at 8km/hr on a freshly ploughed road o_O no sand or salt. Just ice:annoyed:
Fortunately its all cosmetic and nothing structural. I'll have my baby back soon good as new!!

Too bad it wasnt the bumper. You'd have a good excuse to armor up. That can easily be fixed. Today is a sad day for you. :p

lol right. The trick to driving in the snow is to only go as fast as you can while remaining on the road. It’s slick out, take the turns slower then you normally would and start slowing down well in advance.

Not sure either of these rules were followed.

Well I heard back from body shop. It's all cosmetic with no structural issues of any kind. Thank God !!!
How does this affect the value? Anyone?
The repair parts are all OEM which great news. As insurance companies here in Canada do not require the replacement parts to be OEM. But in my case i am lucky.

If the repair is all OEM and cosmetic, I don't really see it hurting the value at all.

Not sure if it is the same in CA, but a lot of insurance specifies that replacement parts be OEM if younger than X years. I think mine says 2 years, but not sure. It'll probably still show up on the vehicle history considering the amount of $ it cost to repair, but you likely wont have many gremlins to deal with later.
