Tacomas had been in short supply in the past. As a result, Toyota had added third shifts to increase production and have a greater days supply of trucks on the lot. The Mexico plant was building as many trucks as they could. In the end every single truck sells, and Toyota makes good money on the Tacoma, regardless of incentives.

I got my 17 at the very beginning of this year, it kind of surprises me that they're offering 0%. I was pretty stoked 0.9% for 60 months. I went with a 17 because I didn't want any of the TSS crap. I'm surprised that there's still 17's left, when I got mine at the very start of this year it was the only one left at the dealer I went to, the other dealers in the area each only had a couple left and weren't really budging on price.

Southeast Toyota had 0.9 percent back in November on 17’s, I think they made less then $350 on my five year loan, almost free money for me

I was actually surprised when I found out they were offering 1.9% for 60 months in my region on a new model year Tacoma (pretty rare). I originally got approved for a loan from my credit union for the same APR but I was eligible for a new grad rebate (grad school) if I went with Toyota. The choice was a no brainer.

    0% would've been nice though!
