Open Connector Behind Bumper (What Is It For)

Hello All,
I have a 2020 SR Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab. I currently don't have a tow hitch. However, I plan on installing one soon. Only plan on towing very light loads every now and then. I was under my rear bumper and noticed a connector right behind the tow hitch plug blank (see above picture). Just wondering if this connector is somehow used with the factory tow package. Is it the connector that provides the feeds to the rear factory tow plug? Any info or pictures of it on a vehicle with factory tow package would be appreciated.

Where did you get a While Tacoma!? Sounds exotic.

do you not have the trailer hookups at the back of the truck?

 

No trailer hookups on the back of my truck. Just a blank plastic cap where the plugs would go. Truck did not come with a trailer hitch.
