Operation Crash Bandicoot 4x4 Swapped 05' Tacoma

I spoke too soon i admit, i'd like to go on a trail run though, just to see what the truck can do and stuff.

Finally fixed my damn center console latch... mini-write up to come.

 

cam.. we can go to Charles creek rd sometime.. I can show u basics.. how to pick a line and everything.. its a very easy place.. done it 20 times 0 body damage trail...

right now my truck is getting a new bed and stuff put on.. so hopefully i'll have it back Friday...maybe sat or sun? this coming week if its back

The first thing i had to do was disassemble the latch from the rest of the lid so i could figure out how it opened and how i'd stop it shooting out. I drilled two small holes into the button and tried to line it up with the two existing holes(2 screws fill them).



i decided to not use the two hole for the screws and use them instead to "link" the two halves together so i could keep it from flying out. I ran some thin wire i had part of a bit kit and ran it through the existing holes.



From this pic you can see that i ran the wire from those two holes and ran them downward into the two holes i drilled initially.



After doing that i re-attached the two halves together and tested opening it and looking if it would release itself far enough to open the lid. It happened to work so i tied the wires together and tucked them away in the assembly.

I put everything back together and Boom! no more loose console.

This prob wont help anyone but just sharing what i did today.

Well fellas just pulled the trigger on my bestop. The wait begins...

Anyways, got Drill this weekend so i wont be doing anything(planned on colormatching my grill) but a member from VA will be down so i'll hit him up.
