he can definitely have more than one truck. LOL Mods are at $10084 and going ...
I have a question for you. If any of the systems you recommend fails while operating the vehicle and the driver is involved in an accident because he/she relied on said electronics, then who is responsible?

I believe it is best to offer driving safety classes instead of trying to bring into the car electronic substitutes for human common sense (as opposed to electronic common sense which does not exist yet - just electronic logic).

    The Driver.

The way I see it, is these devices are to assist in driving. The devices are not there to rely only in them. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Thats what I would think also. You are driving you would be at fault. They are to assist you.

The driver is still responsible, these are products to prevent accidents by alerting you to the situation but the driver is under control of the vehicle.
However it will decrease the chances of you getting into an accident.

I agree classes are a great way to learn to drive safely, what classes can't do is make sure you never get distracted or drowsy while driving, this is where the equipment comes in. if you happen to look away the electronics will not and if someone in front of you gets to close or stops our collision prevention system can alert you.

In a perfect world these devices will be there for driver assistance. Unfortunately, once installed in a vehicle, drivers will rely on them, giving priority over skills and common sense.

Imagine you told someone that rear collision sensor will help avoid impact by signaling with audio and video cues. The sensor fails for some reason, impact takes place, and the driver is now confused as the tool provided to assist did not function nor indicate out of order status. Now what? This is similar to GPS navigation. How many drivers can navigate without GPS today? The brain relinquished that function to an electronic crutch and when the GPS fails you are stuck without a mental or paper map. Also, how many telephone number do we still remember now that we all have "smart phones". I used to remember well over 30 numbers, Today I can barely remember 3-4 because I rely om my smart phone.

It is unfortunate that some people may rely on a backup sensor in this way and it could fail them. However we do hold our products to a certain quality standard which decreases the chances of this issue.

If you are concerned about backup equipment failing, I would recommend the backup camera instead of the sensors. In the unlikely chance that this did fail you would be able to see that you need to use your mirrors instead.

Also I would like to mention that in the 5 years I have been apart of this industry I have never seen a backup camera fail when it has been working before.

Really only way to make the roads safer is to make the driving tests extremely hard. They are way, way, way to easy to pass.

    Now what?

Nothing, driver still at fault. Next time he won't RELY on it, its user error, same thing with any other device, tool etc, you don't use it as intended, you can get hurt, cause an accident or worse, its the way it is with everything.

If a person can't drive for shit, why is it the vehicles responsibility to drive for them. Nothing against your products at all, hope you make millions and save thousands. Just bothers me that people don't care enough about their driving or other people to put the amount of concentration into the act of driving to do it right.

It has come to my attention that some of you may already have a monitor for your backup camera. If you want just the camera installed I can give it to you for $219
