Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
As I always say: Don't ask the question if ya don't wanna hear the answer.

Unless you're always driving thru heavy brush, the guard is way too much.
Don't much care for the color either.
Roof rack rails don't fit with the guard.

But it's not my truck so I really don't much care.

Howdy Leo and welcome to Tacoma World via Texas. Your comments seem sincere and you are going to get some very opinionated views just like you asked for so here's mine; 1. Love the year 2020 (lol). 2. I love the SR5 (had one). 3. Absolutely love the color, the grill, and the nerf bars. 4. Absolutely hate the factory roof rails (the sooner you get rid of them the more you will like me), and 5.....TurdTaco64 is probly right, the brush guard looked tough in the 90's but it just doesn't look right on todays Tacomas (trust me, I had two of those on previous pickup trucks). And yes, at the end of the day, you paid for it, now go and enjoy it.

Welcome to TW. Not a fan of the brush guard either but to each their own. I like the looks of a clean truck and I dig the bro trucks too. So everything in-between is good to me.

Welcome Leo. If you did it how everyone thinks it should be, well then you would just spend a bunch of money to make a boring ass truck that you wouldn't enjoy.

Rather than throw my useless opinion on what it is, I'll throw my useless opinion on what you should do. Take your time when building it. There isn't anything wrong with stock, and you want to make damn sure deviating from stock makes the truck that much more enjoyable and/or useful to you. So go slow, as you discover how you actually use the truck daily, that will determine what you actually need to "improve." View every potential purchase with a critical eye - every single thing you bolt on solves one problem but creates another. Look at both and determine if it's worth the trade off.

    Good luck, have fun.

Your truck man. Everyone has different likes. I don't like the brush guard. Everything else is just pep boys bling. If you like it though... it does not matter what I think.

    I dig the brush guard.

Any go-to upgrades worth doing first that improves the look of the Tacoma IMO and also adds better performance are some good tires. Any reputable All Terrains will suite 95% of situations. Also goes without saying but they look a lot better than the factory tires.

Then, if you can a quality lift also serves for looks and functionality

I would also say a roof rack makes any Tacoma looks better and adds a functional purpose as well

    Welcome to TW man!

Nice truck! To me that bush guard is bit too much, taco's front end is huge as it is. Other than that, cool rig! We are different and we all like different things so who cares what others think really. I like everything black on my truck, which most people hate. To each their own.

Enjoy this forum, lots of knowledgeable dudes and cool ideas!

Interested to see how Leo reacts.

Like everyone has said, the monstrosity hanging off the front of your car has to go.

Welcome! Truck looks good, though I’m iffy on the brush guard. But, if you like it, that’s all that really matters. There’s a ton of things you can do to the truck to make it exactly what you want. I keep finding little things to do that make me love my truck more and more.

Also, tinted windows look good and keep the truck cool. OEM bed mat doesn’t do anything for looks, but it’s a very practical mod and it’s worth every penny. That’s my only suggestions.

In the end, it’s your truck. Do whatever makes you smile every time you walk up to it.

I think the truck looks good except the brush guard is overwhelming the front end. If it were mine Id loose that if I had no logical and practical reason for having it. To each his own, if you love to brush guard roll with it and enjoy your truck.
