its been my experience they will come down a little, i paid 31??? for my 2011 trd or tx pro dbl cab with 34775 msrp. that price was actually about 500 bellow what edmunds and consumer reports said was the bottom line.

Im really pissed right now. So Monday I was at the dealer and left because their offer of 22,600 trade and 32,xxx for the new one wasn't good enough for me. They called me back today and told me they wanted me to come on because they wanted to make the deal happen. Made sure my guy would ne there, and said ok. When I got there my the same dealer wasn't in, and they actually offered me an even worse deal! 21,000 trade and 32,xxx new truck.

So the dealer called again today. Told me that the truck I wanted would be here on the fifth. Asked if I wanted to come on today and leave a deposit today. Same numbers as for now, 22,600 for my truck and 32,xxx (sticker) for the new one. How far off is that? What should I go in there asking for? I was thinking the price of the mats and toyogaurd taken off, so about 900-1000. Thoughts?

32k seems high, in my opinion. i bought a 2011 in july for a little over 26. it was a dcsb trd sport.

Can you sell your '09 on your own? The dealer is willing to give you $22.6K for your truck, but they won't budge on the $32K for the new truck. If you took the original $19K offered for your truck then the dealer might have gone down a little on the new truck. It's all a big game. The best thing for you to do is to sell your old truck on your own and then go to the dealer. You might even agree to finance the new truck for 5-6 years with TMC to make the deal more attractive to them. Just make sure that there's no prepayment penalty. You can then pay it off quickly so you don't pay too much in interest.

If I were you I would wait until the new Tacoma comes out in 2014. Like others have said, you can save 2-3 years of payments and the resale of your 2009 will still be pretty good.

^ Well I would but ideally I would wait until 2016ish to buy the new one so I could see what the issues/bugs were.

UPDATE- Finally got in with the dealer that I got my truck at. I have an in with them so we'll see what happens.

This is so fucking frustrating. Its been two days and I haven't heard from this guy. He was supposed to email me all the numbers and everything but now I can't get a hold of him.
