Why anyone would want to make their car sound like a lawnmower on steroids is beyond me. :D

Every motor has its own sound, I've come to realize that over my few years on this earth.

    Preference isn't performance.

I have the OBX header, factory cat, and Flowmaster Super 44 series muffler on my rig and it sounds like a dying Honda. I guess that it will be like that too for a long time since I won't be wasting money on replacing the flowmaster. At least it is quiet on the trail since I don't have to floor it anymore to get over obstacles. The idle is more than enough! TSF1_8fb7f05f91b83d10f611df6f8fc08d46148b43cc.jpg

I love the deep tone rumbling sound. Those rice burners with their fart cans sound ridiculous. When I use to have my 89 IROC-Z with the 350 motor, my wife said she could hear me coming up the street from a block away and my car was stock.

Yeah mine is like that too. With the combination of the custom motor mounts (read: vibration! but needed to keep the driver side mount from ripping off the frame in double low) and the header, and the Flowmaster Super 44 it is really loud inside.

i think it has to do with what people were used to hearing in their childhood. i grew up hearing hondas and acuras with fart cans. so i guess thats why i like having it.

That sounds just like my V4 Interceptor when I have the Staintune on it.

    Hi,
I have an 07 access cab 4cyl with DT headers and I'm thinking of getting the Magnaflow 16625 exhaust. My big concern is cab drone since I use the truck for long trips. Have you experience cab drone with your set up?
    thanx,
    Roger
