In the end...the voters has spoked! Clearly people like the DC more but those that got an AC had no reason to get a DC. I want room to haul people around and use a full back seat almost everyday. I mean I take 2 girls to school in the morning and I can't imagine how annoying it would be to pop the suicide doors open twice a day. I guess it really is my way of telling my passengers I enjoy their company so they should be comfy too. That's only a small part, I would use the backseat daily, in fact I use the backseat of whatever car I'm drving that day multiple times. So I can see that my needs call for a full rear door and backseat.

BAH! What could be more useful than that awesome picture? And which school has the best boobs???
Haha, I made that mistake buying the Mazda. At the time I couldn't get the Mazdaspeed3 (what I really wanted) because of its 6 speed. Nobody in my family drives a manual and if it sits then it's basically screwed until I get home to drive it. Then I couldn't get a Taco then because of the price so I got a Mazda3. (I knew I would regret getting it later and I do!) But now comes the time for me to recoup my losses and get what I am suited to drive...a DC SB TRD Sport.
    You're welcome!
You would be fine with an AC. It sounds like you are just you and the girl...and the dog but it gets the backseat or the bed...I think for that short of a trip you could do with an AC and everyone would be fine.
But that's what I think and in the end it's your decision and your money.

I totally agree. I bought a double cab because i knew i was going to keep thistruck for a long time. I like having to be able to have people in the backseats without it being uncomfortable for them. It helps when you want to carpool with a bunch of people instead of taking 2 cars. $900 isnt that much to save up for again anyways

The rear seats folding down flat is the best feature of an access cab in my opinon.SSPX2978_4937847dad697e2d1d6f11e6d1ce0da90a27c812.jpg

Yup, I definitely know how that goes! Having a small car that has teh engine of an econobox doesn't make for much fun with anybody else driving in it.
But taking the Expedition, we have tons o' fun!
The Tacoma will definitely be the same thing.

05tacotrd, that is a nice feature of the older AC's but the new ones have a rear center console so you get flat seats but there's a console in between them. :/

Yep, and it's retarded that they took out that feature in the '09's :frusty:

There's another reason to get the DC, the seats still fold down flat. There is also storage spaces under and behind the rear seats.

I love my '08 AC and would hate to own a DC. I'm also glad I got in before the worthless '09 AC setup. Like most AC owners, I rarely have a passenger, and then only one passenger. I also need the long bed and a DC Long bed would have been too long to wheel and not a 6 spd.

Hmm, I just noticed that they also moved the anchors for the child seat from the passenger side to the drivers side.... Another bad design move.

I've heard people talk about it, but has anyone actually installed the '08 back seat into an '09 yet?

    Yep. 4x2.
    You got a 4x4? I mean tehy're only like $1K more to get a 4x4 so it's still a good price.
Haha, kick the 09 AC owners in the nuts! Can your truck fold flat? No. Mine can and I have a full rear seat too! Ahahahhaha! :D

Buy yourself a Certified DC Taco instead of new & save all kinds of $$. It worked for me. :)

I went with the DC because I needed the room. The back seat is in use daily and my little boy has plenty of room back there. I also went with the LB because I use the bed a lot as well. I personally like the look of the long bed more. Plus, my lady says that the Short Beds look cute :)

Get a DC with a 6 ft. bed, and get the best of both worlds. I love my DC. It's just a lot more convenient than an AC. For an extra $900, go for it, and save up for the mods later.
