I got a reply from the owner, Ravi… he asked me a few questions then went radio silent. Tried emailing him twice more and nothing. Bummer.

Where did you buy that little drain valve for your aluminum radiator?

About 3k miles ago I did a full cooling system refresh
OEM-Water pump, fan clutch, fan and thermostat
Mishimoto aluminum radiator and silicone hoses.
The packaging was top quality like someone’s photo of the CFS, it came with weatherstripping and fit perfectly.
I know there is a lot of people who dislike mishi.
Honestly had I done some more research I would have gone with CFS just to be safe but no complaints yet.
Costed me ~550 and I am yet to see over 188 coolant temp. I sit around 183-185 during normal summer driving.

The silicone hoses on the other hand  … biggest waste of money. They were incredibly firm and near impossible to get around the thermostat and male fittings on the radiator.
Just get OEM, silicone is a huge waste of money to replace hoses that last 150k miles from the factory.
Not that any of y’all need to be told, I’m just ranting
    150 bucks isn’t worth the “bro factor”:censored:

Thanks for the info & feedback on your experience. I’m leaning towards the CSF. It’s just hard to bite that $500 bullet.

It’s called a petcock. Available at any auto parts store. Although that one is nicer than most.

For those who bought the CSF Radiator, where did you buy it from?
    Some websites are charging $595… some are $499 + $54 in Shipping & Tax…Etc
I’m not sure where to buy it from. If I have an issue with it(shows up defective or damaged) I don’t want an issue with warranty etc

Could try Summit Racing and then do a price match ticket, They have other brands too that are equally as good as CSF, plus Summit has a pretty good return policy.

I bought mine (all aluminum) from Amazon. At the time, it was <$450

I would love to know a part number for a petcock that would screw into the CSF radiator (correct thread & pitch).

After the cooling system re-furb 9 months ago, I plan to change the coolant again this fall. I would rather not have to make a mess the next time that I change coolant.

I bought the CSF radiator for my '86 pickup from RockAuto.
It appears they have units for '05 Tacomas for both engine options in stock (although they are the plastic/alum. versions).

    Cheers

I am going with the all aluminum version. Thanks for the suggestion though

Just for reference I grabbed my CSF from a friend with a performance shop. His cost was right around $400 + shipping.

    Not installed yet.

    Quite the deal.

If I were in your shoes I would do something to return the favor. Have his family over for a bbq or something. A case of beer. A bottle of good whiskey.
