Has anyone installed vinyl wraps on their interior parts? If so how did it go? Is it easy to install and contour to the lines of what you are covering? How does it hold up to sun light and normal wear and tear? I see a lot of different options available and some of the colors would look great for what i wanted to do. I'm thinking about a combination of silver metallic painted trim with medium gray carbon fiber vinyl inserts along my dash, door panels and console. I'm concerned about the durability of covering everything I want to change with vinyl.
I have watched a video where the guy covered everything in black on his Tacoma and it looked pretty good when he was done. Any thoughts, suggestions and recommendations are appreciated. There is so many companies selling these products now.

i blacked out my interior using a number of things, including MESO vent rings which are not vinyl adhesive. i did use some pre-cut vinyl adhesives for the center console cup holder chrome ring, the door handles inside, and the lock on the glovebox.

the vinyl stick ons for door handles are pretty horrible. they are a weird cut and hard to get right. but, aside from the pre-cut shape, once adhered the vinyl looks good. the center console ring is fine, a bit tricky to get all the edges w/o damage, but if you spend time it can come out good. the glovebox lock stick on is easy and no issues at all. so, in my experience, the vinyl itself is fine while the challenge is to cut to form and install correctly.

Quality of the vinyl wrap will also be a consideration in how well it holds up.
