I am gonna take the Pro to Ocatiilo wells in x mas and then to wheel down in Rocky Point in march

My 748 is old and well used
Bought it new in 1999. Has 79k miles on it

Haven't ridden a 1299, though my ProItalia salesman monthly phone calls on trading in my 1199 isn't helping :)

An 8 foot bed is pretty big...lol. I'm guessing you just would want that, you wouldn't be hauling anything that would require that big of a bed?

I feel like if i had a long bed people would be asking me to borrow it all the time. The truth is both the 6 and 5 foot are short beds...but for me the short bed would work. With a bike lined straight you would need the tailgate down either way so it's not a deal breaker.

I have to say a trd pro dclb would be sweet...add some bigger tires/little more of a lift and a supercharger and I'd be all over that in a heartbeat. :)

That's cause folks with 2015's refuse to sell them and buy 2016/2017's. LOL

Personally, aside from the looks upgrades, I don't see the allure of spending money on the PRO. Nor did I see the allure of the TRD OR. I bought an SR5 and put money into making it more than an Off-Road. I'm locked front and rear and have the long bed I wanted. Re-geared, armored, etc.

Sounds like you have an adventure planned.

Test out the Aprillia before upgrading to 1299. Unless your at the track, I don't think you'll feel the gains between the 1199 and 1299, a buddy of mine did that upgrade a while back. I think he expected more than what he got. I tested the 954, 1299 and Aprillia RSV4 RF back to back at the track. Aprillia was the best of the 3.

That sounds like a nice rig! I know one of the things people love most about the Tacoma is the ability to mod it up about a million different ways, but I don't have enough free time to do all of that myself and I don't really want to pay for it to be done at the local 4x4 shop, so I want the PRO because to me it's the best midsize truck out there to buy without any mods at all. Even stock it's more truck than I need and I love the way it looks. To each his own I say!

    I have a date farm
Where the 8 feet bed is helpful

That said like 99.99% of Americans it's about just having it since my use for that is 20-3 times a year

No one borrows anything if mine, j causing family :)

What's the allure of the SR5?

Why didn't you get the SR?

This is why they made the PRO in my opinion. Folks who want a cool looking, capable truck without modification.

When you find the allure to go to Moab... you'll start spending money at the local 4x4 shop. LOL

Probably might have if the dealer had had one. SR didn't have Chrome wheels or grille. In my opinion the SR looked better (back in 2015) than the SR5. I hate Chrome.

MV's are nice too. Old Aprillias have their issues for sure. What group do you ride in at the track?

Sounds like the Pro fits your style. If it were me, put the Pro seats in the 4x4 Limited and I'm good.

You may want to look at a smaller yota dealership. I went to the big ones and they all basically look at you like take it or leave it. The place I got mine was a small dealership. I went on a Sat and there were 4 people working there, the GM, 2 sales people and the finance guy. It was probably the most painless experience I've had at a dealership. They didn't even try to upsell any of that extended warranty, wax protection.......

Why not? It looks like you still have room behind the bikes or in the middle towards the back

I guess they couldn't get "Fix Or Repair Daily" to fit on that grill.....lol. Have to admit that's a nice looking ride.

2 bikes sitting on the tailgate is not a good idea. I've filled up the back before with one bike + Track + Camping gear.
