    Looking for comments...

I have Jasons previous Avid front Light Bar / Bumper Guard and also recently picked up a new second hand Avid Rear Bumper Guard.

Got a quote for LineX of both items. The owner of the LineX shop was like a used car salesman to deal with but came in at $250 for both parts. Plan was to sand all surfaces, wipe clean and apply LineX.

Got a quote from a quality Powder Coating company. Very professional, and quoted $250. They will grit blast both parts, apply some type of Poweder Coat primer, then apply Powder Coat finish.

I asked Jason what paint he used on the front bar. It was Rustoleum shaker can. I could Ospho the new rear guard and shaker can paint it, then touch up the front where it is chipped. Estimate 5 cans or about $60 and some time.

Granted the paint is an easy touch up. LineX on my BAMF sliders is pretty tough, powder coat done right is tough also.

    Gathering others experiences and opinions.

Those that reply to use Plasti Dip...

xmadcowx or something... but like i said i rattled my ARB and stock rear bumper. duplicolor crap takes some practice but comes out fine in the end once you get the hang of it. otherwise it can be somewhat clumpy...

I got my APEX Front/rear bumpers done at Safari in Jacksonville. They did a good job on the bumpers, they did inside and out, really tough, no thin/bare spots... I prepped the parts myself by rubbing them down with degreaser, then light soap/water, then baking them in the paint booth bare to really get the moisture out. Then I drove them straight up to Safari.

I did not go to the same level of prep with the front skid plate and Safari did not do any prep, either. Be very aware of this. They don't claim to do prep, so it's not a strike against them, but I definitely suggest doing your own wipedown/clean/prime before heading up to Safari for them to spray the actual product on.

I got front/rear All-Pro apex bumpers and rear corner armor sprayed for $350, all of this BEFORE installing the parts. No issues with fitment, even though line-x can be thick sometimes.

All in All I would recommend Line-X because it's tough and when I bump stuff in the woods, it hurts the thing I bumped and not my truck. I have not had to re-touch any line-x yet but being in Florida I haven't really run up on many big rocks.
