So, I'm just gonna throw this out there cause I'd rather ask complete strangers for advice than people I know.

So I don't work out, but I work really hard physically for a living, so I am pretty muscly. I used to think it was awesome, but I'm starting to feel kind of self conscience about it. Guys and girls alike, keep saying that muscular girls are really unattractive. Guys like slim girls, but too much muscle on a girl makes them feel less masculine, and they want something soft to hold, not rock hard. I get called sir alot at stores :( I HATE that.

So I'm just wondering what everyones opinions are as far as what is gross and what is normal??

And please don't ask for pictures of me cause I don't do pictures.

well if they are cut it is to much for me.
but being tone and cut are different, yes i like the soft girl but tone is not a bad thing.
it still looks good just as long as you can not see every muscle line.

Whatever makes you feel most comfortable. I personally like the softer, slim girls, but everyone has their own preferences and honestly its what's inside that matters most.

Its all relative. Female 6'1" 185 lbs all muscle, NOT AT ALL SEXY!

Female, 5'7" 130 lbs muscular and toned, very sexy.

    Female, 5'1" 130 lbs....not so much.

Where do you stand in this line up? Are you viking woman style tall and built or shorter with a muscularly toned body?

Long and short of it is, muscular and toned on a chic is hot, muscular and bulky is not.

I can't speak for every guy but muscles on a girl are hot as long as you are not one of those body building gals.
I work with a girl who many of my more affeminate male coworkers describe as "too manly" but I think she's great.

I think there's a happy medium- I've always said one of my goals is to have 'girlie' abs- ie some definition, but not a six pack. That said, I think us girls are a hell of a lot harder on ourselves and each other than any guy would be.

I'm not body builder style, but my arms, stomach, and back are really well defined, more than most guys I know. The whole reason this question came up is I heard some girls talking about my 'man body'. Bitches. It really hurt my feelings because I've always been skinny and a while back I had to convince my mom I wasn't bulemic or anorexic, or whichever it is that you puke in the toilet. Now I was just getting to feel like I was more than skin and bones, you know???

    Sorry for the venting

You are probably right... maybe we all need to stop picking on each other and be happy with what we have I guess?

Muscular can mean different things to different people. Do what YOU like and to hell with the rest.
Personally, I like to be toned. I wish I would've taken better care of myself/muscles when I was younger. I'm happy with my size just a bit too much extra around the waste. Typical of most women.... Laugh

I wish I would have taken care of ALOT when I was younger... wearing suncreen more, etc etc. Funny we don't worry about that stuff when we are young, huh?

Maybe the next person that calls me 'sir' or says I have a "man body" should just get thumped on the head with my "man arm". There. Problem solved :)

In all honesty, this would be the only thread where asking for pictures would actually help you get an honest opinion on whether you're too muscular or not.. Can't say if not.
