Opinions on spanking?

my pops didn't spank, he pinched the inner thigh. that shit hurts enough to where you'll never want to do anything bad ever again. LMFAO

 

i tried the hiding under the bed or closet number many times, always ended in x3 as much trouble.

 

i sure as hell had my shear of spankings. lol. even got it with a belt! but yes i think it is ok. (maybe good) i learned allot from it. i even got time out's i think kids now a days that dont get spanked just told to stop or sent to there room and have tv. computer, ipod. is kinda messed up. i got spanked and was told to sit there on the couch! and if i said it did not hurt man i got it even harder! and if i have kids some day. YES I WILL spank them!!

yesterday me and dad wear at home depot and i saw this lady yelling at her kid to run faster (almost seamed like she was pulling him more than he was running) he was like 4 maybe and she was walking pretty fast. i almost wanted to yell at her and say something. like walk a little slower! her can't walk as fast as you can. walk at his paste.

 

My brother and I learned quick not to mess with our dad. He spanked but my mom didnt cause she thought it was wrong (since my parents were raised differently). I think spanking is ok. Especially if the kid is acting a fool in public or throwing a bitch fi in the local walmart cause he cant get a toy. I think if I ever have kids spanking will be acceptably under the right circumstances.

I'll never forget the time my brother and I decided playing airsoft in the house was a good idea.... then my dad came home and saw out new "swiss cheese blinds" he was so pissed he was at a loss for words. He just kept repeating "how could you think this was a good idea, what was going through your heads!!!!" after that we avoided doing dumb things cause we felt bad we destroyed "his" things. The thing is kids dont think about shit, or atleast I dont remember thinking lol. But as I got older I did.

 

I'm against beating as any sensible person should be, but spanking should be protected under law.

 

It is, at least in some states. Florida has established the legal right of parents to use physical discipline against their kids.

My mother would spank me and my sister and that was almost always enough. BUT if she wasnt able to get through then we would have to wait by the door for dad to get home then tell him. That didnt happen but a few times. Its amazing how long that time was just waiting for dad to get home then tell him what you did. I belive in spanking.

 

The wife always used the flyback paddle to spank the kids. It looks like it will hurt bad, but the noise it makes and the sting are actually less than what your hand will do. My Mom was the disciplinarian and rarely used her hand, got hit with the hair brush, wooden spoon,yard stick, belt, even a book. There is that fine line between discipline and abuse and I believe kids need to have their bottoms spanked if they deserve it. I was always told how well my kids behaved when out in public. I always expected them to be behaved and if not, they knew the punishment would fit the crime(spanking,grounding,no TV, No out to play, etc.) and my kids grew up okay. I have noticed they are more lenient with their kids, but when at Grandmom and Pops house they have to follow the rules. A good spanking when called for is like a reward when they do something outstanding.
