Oh there are definitely some people that get butthurt here over this stuff here and it's hilarious. Was reading one thread earlier for a mod I'm considering, where this one dude, who even had his username as the marketing scheme, was getting all pissy about people doing the wrong version they didn't have multiple times in the thread. This appears to irk you some for you to respond to me the way you did as well, lol.

Go for the Bentley on the Chrysler if it is what you want to do, won't bother me any. There will always be the Joneses that will have to have name brand whatever and get all butthurt when someone else doesn't give a damn and gets the cheap knockoffs with the fake label and are just as happy with it. Best way to live is just do what you want and don't worry what some person on the internet thinks of your decals or lack of decals.

    Your money, your truck.

Unless someone is buying you truck parts it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. All that should matter is that you enjoy it.

l think 2wd Tacomas are still pretty capable. Granted, not as capable as 4wd. But still very capable. How often do most owners have to engage 4wd?
Even mine. I can get most places without it.

@the_black_tacoma I don’t have an issue with it. It is all pretty much aesthetics and personal preference. I bought a sport and took those decals off before I even left the dealership, just because I didn’t like the way they looked. If you like the way they look, then you should put them on. No big deal. Just don’t claim it has options or trim packages that it doesn’t when you sell it. I have had 4 different sets of wheels, 3 different grills, 3 sets of side mirrors, 2 sets of headlights and feel no guilt. I even have 3rd gen tailgate inserts on my 2nd gen truck. Why? Because I like the way it looks. Can I sell my 2012 sport as a 2020 pro? No. If you want to change stickers and badges every week go for it. In my opinion, there is more “wrong” committed by those criticizing than there is by those modding the way they see fit.

It is not about “fooling”. It is about doing what you like with YOUR property.

The you are one of the few that truly enjoy the benefits of 4wd!!

We use ours more than most people, I'm sure. But that's because we like to travel the side roads here. Which are usually nothing more than dirt, gravel and rock trails carved out of the hills.

True to a point but what it is in the end is trying to say you bought a more expensive model then the one you did which is, to most people, pretentious. Now modding a ride after you bought it with items that enhance it's ability, most people can understand that. I'm at an age where I'm not lifting a vehicle any more but I used to when I off roaded a lot, and I can still understand people doing it.

    Now a lift and 24's and rubber band tires.......yeah, I STILL don't understand that.........:notsure:

Rubber band tires and 24s are a mod that came directly from hell.

You are entitled to your opinion. Your argument applies to many things...gold plated jewelry, houses with brick facades, vinyl furniture, etc.
