My brother has an 02, DC, 4x4, SR5, TRD tacoma and he wants to lift it and put 285's. But he only wants like 3" of lift so I told him to go with a spacer and a shackle. Does anybody have any experince/pics with the daystar lift? Please feel free to give ANY input.

I have the 2.5 spacer but I dont have the shackles. If he is getting the front spacer from daystar it rides well, I cant notice a difference from stock. I'll post a pic if you want a look of the front lift.

my first lift was the daystar spacer with their shackles...

they rode fairly smooth but flattened the stock leaf springs pretty quick

I never installed the puck, but did install the AAL it lasted about 2 -1/2 years then each one broke into 3 pieces. But I carry a bit of weight so that might have had something to do with it. I just replaced them all with Dakar leaf springs and their AAL. Looks like I may be adding the Daystar greaseable shackles though, the OME heavy pack and their shackles with billie 5125s on the rear are still getting worked pretty hard. We'll have to seehow it goes. Love the ride, though I have yet to run it unloaded yet. Cheers
