My opinion. Wish my '17 came with a Sunroof. Helps to let the sun in the interior on cold winter days. My opinion on Leather may vary from others, but I find it cold as phuck in the winter, where my cloth seats heat up faster with the seat warmers, and leather is hot as phuck in the summer, burning your butt & legs.

I just put the seat cover on about 3 months ago.

They still look amazing. I didnt even bother taking picture of the back of seat because it looks brand new.

My 2021 TRDOR LB has every feature available. Seats have held up well for 60,000 miles with no signs of damage. I clean and condition the seats quarterly and my truck is garage kept. I never open the sunroof but honestly it is the only reason I can actually fit in the truck. If I sit in the seat properly my head touches the sunroof sliding cover.

When I bought my 2021 OR I was checking out one that had a leather interior, I was definitely not impressed with the quality of the leather or how it felt.

Off Road Premium. I love the leather heated seats. Never use the sun roof, it does cut down on head room. I keep my seat raised up to help with leg comfort when on long drives but I lower the seat down when on bumpy rocky off road sections in order to keep my head further away from the roof.

love the 360 degree panoramic camera.

    Leather - sure why not

Tech Package, - I don't have that, but I can say that I don't use most of the tech stuff my OR did come with. If you like gadgets then again sure why not

Sunroof - I'll never own another vehicle with a sunroof! They all ultimately get jacked up in one way or another, and they are an expensive pain in the ass to repair.

Seems like the top of that outer bolster wears the same for everyone. My driver seat leather has worn in as expected. The rear seats are showing some creases from friends and family getting in every so often but they don't have that same shiny sheen to it like my driver seat because the back seats are rarely occupied. 20250223_012020.jpg 20250223_012048.jpg 20250223_012056.jpg 20250223_012119.jpg

    TRD OR premium.
    1. Not sure if tech package is the same as premium here in Canada but some options just make the drive more enjoyable. Definitely not needed (ie. heated seats).
    2. Prefer leather over cloth but also never considered leather seat wraps so there's a workaround there.
    3. Love it for extra cabin light. Also for some fresh air movement when I have it tilted open + rear window cracked without introducing too much road noise.

    1. The tech package doesn't appeal to me much, should it? I prefer the chrome bumpers and this truck has painted bumper and the sensors.

Entirely up to you. The bumper color is subjective and based on your preference. Objectively, I see no reason to avoid additional tech features, especially when they can just be turned off by the click of two buttons (parking sensors and BSM).

    2. Is the leather good? My 2010 cloth seats (217k) are still rip-free, a lil discolored, but I'm curious how the leather seats hold up over the years. Chime in if you have high mileage 3rd gen leather for better or worse.

I had cloth seats in my previous truck (2018) and now leather (2021). The leather seats are holding up well. Occasionally, I wipe them down with some Armor All Leather wipes. One thing I really appreciate is that they do not accumulate dust, which the cloth seats tend to do. I notice that my interior surfaces (dash board, etc) stay much cleaner over time. I feel part of the reason is that I have the leather seats.

    3. Sunroof people... Any issues? Again I could live without it. It seems fun but I would not trade fun for future problems.

I'm in the Pacific Northwest, and see all the seasons. My truck is now 4 years old, and I have no issues. Compared to the no sunroof option, I have a very high chance of some component eventually failing because, well, I have the sunroof. That said, I love having it. Worth noting, the headroom issue is not as bad in 2020+ with the power driver seat. When I went to buy my 2018, I sat in another 2018 with the sunroof and my head was hitting the roof. In my 2021, it's no problem at all.

2023 TRD Sport 4X4 DCSB (Purchased December 2023) - Premium Leather, JBL Sound System & Sub, Sunroof, Tech Package - Basically everything I could get with the exception of the Off-Road's Rear Locker/MTS - I'd say worth it since I didn't want a 4 Cylinder Turbo. I like the added luxuries and think it's worth it since I have been wanting this Tacoma since 2018. Now my build is almost complete...or so I think...lol

Also - See a lot of hate on the sunroof - My wife loves it...so that means by default "I love it" too...HAHAHA
