I purchased my Opt7 lights shortly after I got my truck. I read all of the reviews, a lot more positive than negative, and I decided to try them. I put the drivers side in and compared it to the stock passenger side. Same coverage, same cutoff only white instead of the yellowish oem bulb. I put head and fog lights in and drove on a rode with no street lights. It took a little getting used to the different color but I like the coverage. And I have never been flashed. Not everyone has the same tastes and likes, otherwise we would all be driving jacked up Tacos with hot blondes by our sides.

No offense but what you just described is the definition of ignorance. And you have still failed to provide anything to support your case.

FYI, that chopper could be in a tree due to a microburst or settling with power, which can't be detected by instruments or anything (there's little a pilot can do). If you were a chopper pilot who actually flew, you would know. Just as if you actually used and owned the Opt7, you would know.

BTW, forums and blogs aren't anymore experts than the people posting here, how do they hold more weight than the forums posts here by people using the product everyday in real world conditions.

Geez man, can you be more ignorant? Just another TW member who is convinced of their own bias.

I have no interest in playing proof games in an attempt to educate you and prove that the sky is, indeed, blue. I've shared my opinion, and if you're interested in actual facts, there is plenty of information just fingertips away. On the other hand, if you want to discard my opinion, you're more than welcome to.

Understood, basically ignore everything you say because it's invalid, unsubstantiated, biased, and misinformed.

Opinions aren't facts, sorry. It's ok to have a difference in opinion but its quite hilarious when it's based on ignorance. Someone who doesn't own a product telling someone who does own it their opinion is wrong...too funny.

I care about the opinions of people who know how lights work and how to review them. Neither you, nor the other guy fall into that category.

Haha, I love the top quote, you mentioning 'irony' is hilarious. You are calling out someone else for doing exactly what you are doing hahaha. Now there is some irony.

So you care about opinions on forums and blogs but dont care about opinions on forums (eg TW), too funny.. More irony! You realize people posting on blogs and forums are no different than you or I. You don't know me or my experience. More ignorance. I guess now is a bad time to tell you about my Youtube channel. A review is nothing more than the opinion of a reviewer, who is a random person with little to no actual engineering or fabrication experience. They are nothing more than a consumer..

You're done dude, we all see what you have to offer for this thread, TW members can decide. By all means please have the last word, we need to go out on another laugh

No BRO-ness to speak of... Well, except Kbro2's
Wow! I dropped in this morning to see what kind of silliness and nonsense you've had to sling since I've been away and it seems you've been very busy! Grinding more people's gears than just old Outlier here it would seem. Oh and by the way, when going on your rants about me in the future, please get your facts straight... I got my lights in Jan and it is almost Christmas here in the good old US of A... That's almost a full calendar year. 11+ months. 340 some odd days. Not a week as you stated. I'd say that qualifies for having enough product experience to offer a legitimate opinion and state factual information directly related to said experience.

Special thanks @JoeCOVA for providing my morning laughs by stirring the pot in my absence, and for your service to our country as a member of our armed forces.

    Hello Spidious,

My name is Brooke and I am a customer service reviews manager here at OPT7. I wanted to offer some help to the issue you are experiencing. It sounds as though you may need to add a relay harness to the setup but I will need to gather a little more information in order to better assist. You can contact me directly at pr@opt-7.com.

    Sincerely,

    Brooke

@Spidious Hey man question for you. For the Blitz Bullet, did you use the capacitors that came with the kit? I noticed with these in my fogs they tend to flicker every now and then, more so when I tested and flashed my high beams. They kick off when using highs but when they come back on is when I noticed they'd flicker and go to normal. Should I use them to prevent that?

For what it's worth, and no, I'm not trying to stir the pot, but my OPT7's have been great since ~late feb time frame. While the light output is not as bright as HID's, it is a much cleaner light, with less distortion than my stock halogen bulbs. I tried PIAA's and a set of Phillips Ultra-Whites, but settled on these and have been very happy. The lenses themselves have a very rough beam cutoff, which is noticeable, but that will be with any light source you choose to put in these housings. Just my .02

As far as between the fogs and headlights? Headlights. I'm just running the low beams. Hi-Beams are still halogen. Whole system has been awesome for me so far for that past ~9-10 months

    Good ballasts shouldn't be flickering.

Yea yea I know it's illegal we all do things that are illegal. That wasn't my concern but thanks for your opinion.

OOPS.......Looks like I am illegal then. But they work amazing in the fog light area except for the flicker if I flash my high beams. I just have to shut them off for a few seconds to let the ballast build up and refire the bulbs, then they are okay. No blinding on coming traffic as the beams are very low, sharp cut off and wide light pattern. Never could get them to work in the high beams.
As far as the capacitors, I didn't get any with my kits ?

What size OPT7 bulbs are everyone using? I got the H11B but they don't have a seal to the housing and bounce on rough roads. Their customer support said our truck needs the H11, not b.

Their customer support is wrong. H11B in HID simply reverses the return wire so the shadow is not in the projector beam. All else is the same.

H11B is what you should be buying.

That's exactly what I thought. Are you running their bulbs in H11b?
