I just got in on the RSI group buy. Haven't got them yet, but some of the guys who were buying them had the Opt7, and they weren't happy. Said they got dim over time

Both opt7 and rsi are leds and morimoto xbs are hids. That bounce is from hids. If you want leds from Morimoto, they just came out with 2 stroke.

How long before they went dim? A guy on the 2 stroke thread said he had those for another car and they bounced or I thought so.

After looking again it looks like he had the original xb's, not the new ones. He did say they bounced though.

Yeah I just don't know why some bounces and some dont.

I doubt it will dim anytime soon. It utilizes 2 Cree XHP 50

I ordered a set of 2 Strokes on 7-3-16, still haven't received them yet cause they ran out but they said they should have another shipment by the end of this week so I'm hoping to get them soon and I'll do a comparison between my Morimoto 5500k HID's vs the 2 stroke!!!

I have the OPT7 LEDs in my truck, they've dimmed a bit after a few months. I bought the RSI lights to test but haven't had a chance to install and compare them as my trucks been in and out of the shop for repairs due to issues it's having. Mix that with working mostly nights I am still waiting on a day to install them and compare them side by side.

Have you had a chance to install the RSI's yet? I'm really interested in your comparo. I have OPT7's too, and while I like them, I would like to have a little more down-road vision, if possible. I've only had mine for a couple weeks, so I've not experienced any dimming...just looking for more oomph in distance.

Opti7 for over 6 months, no dimming, still working great.

Alright, I know this is an old thread but after a year and a half of using the Opt7 head lights they took a shit on me at a bad time. I was in the on the far east end of Utah leaving Moab for Phoenix at 4 AM and while driving I noticed a quick flicker of my low beams and they dimmed severely. If I turned my fog lights off, I couldn't see anything but it was obvious the lights were still on standing outside the vehicle. Because I was on a time limit and had the same bulbs in my high beams I swapped the two and everything was fine for the rest of the trip.

I have used these bulbs for a year and a half and and due to the nature of my job, about half my driving is in the dark. Truck has 24k on the clock so I had the lights in for probably 18k miles. I decided to swap them out for my RSIs finally and I'll give a review of them but it appears the metal piece between the car terminal and light is what took a shit for some reason. This was only on the driver side but for some reason both driver and passenger light dimmed.
