Options for full coverage Front bumper and grill with less weight

First Post, got 2018 off road today, and would like a front bumper that protects pretty good
I like some of the ranch hands but would like it with less weight. Any suggestions?

Aluminum full bumpers but they cost a pretty penny. I would stay clear of bull bars.

 

Yes it was sticker shock! It seems it’s gonna be around $2000 for what I want. Saving up again!!

Is 150 lb. To much for a front bumper on TRD Off Road Tacoma? My primary reason for a bumper and grill guard is DEER I have hit 12 in my life time at almost 68 yrs old, any suggestions?

 

Yes normally I’d say that would be too heavy but it’s better than a severely damaged truck. I had an ARB bull bar on an old 1st gen Xterra that totaled two cars, survived an impact with a van, and survived several tree bumps. The truck was fine. If you want impact resistance, ARB is the way to go.

Has anyone had dealings with Victory 4x4 and possibly there front bumpers?

Vanguard Off-road at one time made aluminum ones IIRC. Best thing about Ranch Hand is the structure they have around the lights and a bar across the radiator area if deer or other wildlife is a big concern.

 

Quit driving at dawn and dusk.

 

Ordered the Expedition one range max with wrap around for head lights. Still 150 lbs
4 to 6 weeks delivery, adding 2” leveling kit.
Liked the ranch hand but TSS was blocked.

 

And now I’ve talked myself into an aluminium bumper. I should stay off this forum

 

Yep, see what ya done! I’m probably gonna wish I had went the aluminum route!!

 

hiPSI, I don’t have a lot of choice when I drive for now, BUT within the next 2 years I will be sleeping late almost every day. RETIREMENT!!!
