Bought mine in Dec 2004, would buy exactly the same truck if it were another 05-08. But if an 09... Would probably forget the TRD sport and get a similar equipped SR5 w/ alloys for $2K less.

09 no more Mech LSD on SPort, so same setup traction setup as any other Tacoma (except OF). Never wanted the hood scoop anyway. Temp/compass gauge, bed outlet, smoked headlamps/color trim, looks nice but could buy more useful extras w/ the $2K I'd save.

I wish could have bought the 07 black x runner that was sitting next to the truck I have now. To bad it was just a little to much than I could afford but the next truck I get will probably be a x runner :D. But as for the truck I have now I just wish it would have been 4x4.

little lift, wheels and tires, prinsu rack, TRD Pro grille, some lights, and some scratches.
I guess people are a little sensitive about thier color choices huh? I hated that speedway blue when it first came out but now I rather like it.

As far as I go, when I went to buy my truck I was going to get the same model I have now the sport, but 2wd and white. The sales guy played me and ran numbers on both the white one and the silver 4wd I have now. I love him for it, I absolutely love my truck. I wouldn't change anything, not one damn thing. I love every inch of that beautiful silver beast. My fiance says all the time that I love my truck more than her. I tell her that she just beats the truck by default, she has the vagina.

Didn't need to get a Sport to get the steering wheel controls.

I ordered EXACTLY what I wanted. However, now I want 4x4. Not that I need it on a street truck that will never see more than a dirt road, but rather for peace of mind. But i'm happy with Taco and will be customizing him soon!!

I'm the same I wish I would have gotten a 4x4 but I bought mine mainly for towing and would have a hard time taking something I paid so much for off road too much so it didn't seem economical. Thats about the only thing I regret. I really love my truck and am very glad I chose it.

I sometimes think I would have liked an auto tranny in my '07 trd instead of the 6 speed manual. Not because I don't like to shift, but because the clutch is kind of a bear. I have not had auto trans vehicle for 20 years - so it's not like I'm not a committed manual trans driver. The other thing about the manual tranny in this generation of tacos is that there is almost no room for your left foot. I can't put my foot fully on the deadpedal because there is no room for it under there.
