So finally installed my suspension. Fox 2.5 extended travel remote reservoir, with total chaos UCAs. Adjusted for roughly 2" of lift.

Problem I'm not having which I'm assuming is from the UCAs my wheels are brought too much in now.

With my 265 70 17 Duratracs on a Konig six shooter 17x8 0 offset 4.5" backspacing at full lock my tires are just about hitting the 90 degree connector on the reservoir.
And going back to my OEM wheels that I use for my snow tires 265 70 16 Nokian hakkapelitia R2s its even tighter.

On the driver side I have maybe 3/4 of an inch of clearance and roughly the same on the passenger side maybe even tighter.

Problem is the hose is too short to move the reservoir anymore.
Given I'll be upgrading tire to a 285 next year I will definitely be rubbing and I'm almost thinking my winters will rub. I checked on driver side and it was roughly 1/4". Passenger is even tighter so might rub.

I'm not sure of any adjustment I can do in the UCAs etc that would help bring the wheel out anymore.
Given how much I've already spent on lift, I don't really want to go buy two new sets of wheels or at least one. Move winters over to Konigs (which will clear) and get new wheels for 285s. Given winter is fast approaching I'll need a fix relatively soon.

So I'm thinking spacers would be my best bet?
From what I see on their site Spydertrax only makes 1.25 spacers which will likely be much more than needed so wondering what would be my best bet here?

Also not sure how good spacers necessarily are? From what I understand the ones you just put behind your wheels and still use factory lugs aren't street legal here. Given I do offroad I need something that will not only be street legal but also be strong.
Other concern that is if I bring the wheel out that much I'll then rub on something else? Already pretty close to body mount, which I will be trimming eventually.

Dakars and fox 2.5 are in the rear as well but no problems there, its just in the front. And its changed a hell of a lot more than I expected.

Bora makes smaller spacers, as small as 3/4" and they're not too expensive. They're a good, name brand and you can run them with no issues. It will push you closer to the cab mount, but it shouldn't be an issue sine you'll be trimming anyways.

pics are up in the first post.

    also just measured

    74 wide in front
    74.25 wide in rear

Also curious what I should go with 3/4, 1" spacers?
And figure this is my best bet to correct the issue?

Are you able to rotate the resi's so the fitting is on the bottom? That'd be plenty of clearance.

nope. not enough slack on the hose.

After lift it was already rubbing that was about as much slack as we could get out of it.

alignment will fix this... your tires are small enough

I was running 285/70/17 on 1.5 inches of lift with no rub on a proper alignment. You just need to push your caster to clear

Did you read the first post? He's worried about his tire rubbing on his shock reservoir. I don't think alignment will fix this.

caster is already up, and I'm not worried about the body mount.

    Its the reservoir

Can the reservoir be rotated so the fitting is at 12 or 6 o'clock?
Have a new hose made up?

New hose would mean rebuilding the shock would it not? Or at least recharging the nitrous.
I'd rather not be spending that much already. Rebuild to fit a better house would not be cheap.

I'd think of modifying the mount first to move the reservoir

I still think you can adjust your alignment to clear. might have to run a slightly positive camber to bring the top of the tire out.

then I'd be putting more wear on tire and might sacrifice steering instead.

Not sure alignment idea would work here. Already had 1 degree of camber added to get the alignment within spec.

I'm almost thinking would the reservoir be installed upside down right now?
I didn't do the install a shop did and I'm starting to think with the writing the way it is shouldn't that 90 but at the 12 position and not 6...

Judging by this pic, they're upside down.

Found another truck. Yours are definitely not oriented properly.

problem is I'm not sure if they can be turned like that. Time will tell haha.

I'm thinking the hose will be too stiff and fittings not oriented properly.
But hey this is on them. Going to check the install instructions to see what it says as well. If they screwed up they should be eating the cost to fix it.

you should just be able to rotate it in the hose/fitting. it will take you like 5 min and i doubt you even need to remove the wheel
