Feeling kind of excited. Just picked up a used TRD Pro Fox suspension kit off of a 2018 with 28K miles on them for $550. I was going to send them in for a rebuild before installing, but after looking at how easy the install looks, I think I'll throw them on first and see how they perform before getting them rebuilt.

Installed the new suspension system yesterday, it went very well, took me less than 3 hours total working in my driveway alone. Took it for a ride on some rough stuff to check out and everything looked and felt solid. Did a wheel alignment this morning and castor and toe in was out just a bit. It lifted the front just a bit from the OR suspension. Now sitting 36.5” front, and 37” rear. Couldn’t be happier, best $550 I have spent in a while.

Did you buy Pro suspension from another Taco or go all new? Either way that is a ridiculously good deal.

No, it was used off of a 2018 Pro with about 28k wear.

hey did you get these installed yet? Curious what you think....
I’ve read endless pages of TRD shock posts... comparisons sway this way and that. If you have/or had them on im Interested in understanding. I have a Trd Pro Sport and swapped Hitachi suspension for Eibach Pro Sport which gave me @2” front lift. I understand the TRD pro give 1” front lift (?). How would you add another inch front? I find the Eibach rather stiff on pavement. It rides solid and doesn’t dive/sway. But bumps are rough. Do you think the Pro Fox would be softer? I have a friend w some lightly used at $1500....? Thanks in advance

If your truck bounces all over the place on certain roads, the pro suspension fixes that. It fixed it for me, it still bounces on some roads, but it is controlled.

The braking nosedive on my Sport is ridiculous enough I couldn't imagine the OR lol. I cannot wait to stiffen it up with some 5100's. An AAL in the rear helped with drivability in the interim.

I am currently looking at a set of 2020 take offs, 2,000 miles, $1400 out the door. Seems to be a fair deal in all of my research. What does the masses have to say?

Considering new costs about $3K, I’d say it’s a decent deal.

Is there a significant difference between the OR and PRO leaf springs?

So, performance wise there the same. You guys think it’s worthwhile changing them?

Blast from the past...Bump it up. A couple of questions for you all:

I picked up a set of TRD PRO Fox shocks and just installed the rears. The TRD PRO installation instructions PDF says the torque spec is only 43 ft-lb for lower shock bolt?! That seems a little low1f914_7e745f91ac84eda8590a43b2de3976e572302f22.png.

I'm re-using the stock bolt, and I thought OEM torque spec was like 74. Anybody know for sure?

Also, I can't quite fit my torque wrench on the tophat nut...how tight are y'all doing that one? I currently have like 4 threads showing.

So did anyone update to the TRD PRO leaf spring too. Is it worth it if I found a killer deal on them with the Fox Shox?
