    Good morning TW peeps!!! :pccoffee:

    Okay, here is a super dumb question(s) first thing in the morning: (LMAO, I literally woke-up thinking about this question... :rofl::crazy:)
    1) When measuring HP from a dyno, does the "4wd" aspect of it have to be engaged (i.e. is HP measured at all 4x wheels)??? :confused::notsure:
    2) Or, is it just done with just the 2x drive wheels in the rear (i.e. 2wd a.k.a. RWD)?

    WHEN I have the funds, I would like to get a current reading of my truck's HP, hold on to this information, and then do another dyno TEST to compare readings after I put in whatever mods I put in for the engine over time (i.e. headers, catback, SC, or whatever)!

    Thanks peopleZ!!! :D:thumbsup:

    Dyno should be 2wd but I believe a few special ones will do 4wd. 2wd should have a higher rating than 4wd but it would be interesting to see how much of a difference there is

    Good Morning :pccoffee:
    I believe it's just the rear wheels. The front wheels are on a solid surface while the rear wheels are on big rollers.

    These were exactly what I was thinking? I would think that if only done in 2wd, the HP rating would be higher? :confused::notsure: But yet, thinking about it now, I guess it wouldn't really matter because if, say, only taken from the rears, then eventually do whatever to said engine down the road, and then compare the two TESTS, you would obviously see the HP gains whether it was rear or all four wheels, if you get my meaning? I'm thinking it wouldn't really matter because you would see it regardless!!! I guess that would make sense. Just wondering and curious is all.

    But yeah, would be interesting to see how much HP under load, for all four wheels, LOL!!!

    By chance, does anyone know how much a dyno TEST cost? If not, I'll just do some researching, but I thought I would just go ahead and ask ahead of time just in case anyone knew?!

    :thumbsup::fistbump::cheers:

    Uncertain of the cost to do a dyno test, or where in the area they're doing them. As you said, even tested in 2wd you'll be able to compare the before and after results :thumbsup:

    I believe, at least in your neck of the woods, there is a shop in Clantee (i.e. Santee) that does dynoing. I used to live in El Cajon for a good number of years while going to school down there. Back then, I was a REAL starving student, LMAO!!!

    Thanks for the input bros!!! :thumbsup::fistbump::cheers:

    btw, you know you're somewhat of a car freak if you're waking up to shi--y questions like that, LMAO!!! Get'r DONE!!! :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    I had the HF notcher for a while now. The HF one needs to be retired. It is bad now. I bought the legit one that HF copies. Called the joint jigger. It was about $150 for it. I like the design of that notcher because I can mount it anywhere and can make it notch on a bend with a extended few bolts and washers.
